Some of the staples always on my list are:

    Skim milk
    eggs
    bananas
watermelon/strawberries (or whatever is in season)
    bell peppers
    celery
    chicken breast - boneless/skinless
    peanut butter
    Breyer's Natural Vanilla ice cream

I know the last item will raise eyebrows. I'm not going to kid myself and say I will never eat ice cream again. I am learning portion control. AND, I make allowances during the day if I want to have ice cream in the evening.

    no raised eye brows here...yum!

    Chobani Greek Yogurt
    Honey Wheat Bread
    Natural Peanut Butter
    Sargento Monterey Jack Cheese Slices
    Cereal
Orange Juice (It's Minute Maid's Kids which I like for the vitamins and it tastes good o3o)
    Mio water flavouring
Bottle water (Our tap is gross and smells like chlorine)
    Propel water
Macaroni with broccoli bits in it
    Rice Sides (chicken, chicken broccoli)
Frito Pie ingredients (Fritos, either plain or chili cheese, chili beans, chili with and without beans)
    Ice cream of some sort
Monterey Beef and Bean burritos (I know it's not the best to eat but it's yummy)

That's pretty much all for me, I'm not including my husband's items because I rarely eat the same things he does. We don't eat much meat because we can't really afford it at the moment. But when we do get meat, it goes into hamburger helper usually.

edit: I'm sure I'm missing a few items on that list, but I'm not at the store at the moment. We don't make actual lists, we just grab what we need when we go. Also that's not EVERYTHING on my list but stuff we usually always have in the house.

I have this rule that I have to eat everything in my fridge/cabinets before I can go shopping. These are the things that I can't live without:

Pink lady apples, romaine lettuce, Oikos organic greek yogurt, GG Bran crispbread crackers, F-Factor cereal and bars, Fiber Gourmet pasta, Tazo Zen green tea, organic frozen fruit, olives, pecorino romano cheese, lemons. I need rehab for my lemon addiction.

I tend to be one of those "last meal" type of people so I just started portioning out Pop chips and Kind bars (only half per snack) and trying to eat those when I need a salty/sweet snack.

I’ve just started and am having trouble eating my daily quota of protein – came to this forum looking for protein tips. Also having trouble with fiber – as I’ve increased protein my fiber seems to be decreasing. Thanks to everyone who is posting!

    Tuna
    Beans (red, kidney, black)

    Skim Milk
Mini Babybel Light (I get the big bag at Costco)
    Apples
    Bananas
    Natural Peanut Butter
    Frozen veggies (the steam bags)
Orowheat - Double Fiber English Muffin

Muscle Milk Light Chocolate Nutritional Shake (20 grams of protein– get from Costco)
