Whenever I see someone talking about their weight loss "journey", I just feel compelled to tell them not to stop believing and see if they understand the reference.

    Mine's more of a phrase:

    "I want to do X but I hate Y!"

I'm guilty too, but it gets really annoying.

its a no brainer. Starvation Mode. Defo. A rare and mysterious state which does not happen often, but what does happen is underestimating what one is eating and then finding one gets no results.

Muscle weighs more than fat. But they never tell you on what planet that occurs.

It means "non-scale victory". Things like "I haven't lost any weight since X date but I can now run a marathon/fit into my old pants/ walk on water!"
  • Loosing. And weight. As in "I weight in yesterday morning"... it's weighed, people. WEIGHED.
    And it's losing, people, LOSING.

"Come on folks it's not as if you are taking the one ring to Mordor"

    but what if I am?

    "Life style change" and "sabotage".

And if one more person says "....people get offended if I don't eat their foood...." Ugh. Get new people!

it's pronounced SNICKERS.... it's edited for the letters you typed between the S's

This is so politically correct and silly!

s******s3rd person singular present, plural of snig·ger

    Noun:

    A smothered or half-suppressed laugh.

    Verb:
Give such a laugh: "they s****** at him behind his back".

More info »Merriam-Webster - The Free Dictionary

I really do not believe that anyone would take this word as being offensive in this day and age! but hey ho snickers it is!
