I am absolutely gobsmacked! I just did my measurements and I have lost 20 inches from my body, it has really brought home how well I have done since I started on this journey in Jan 2012.
I know I have lost the weight but most days I feel no different to how I felt before I started so to see the results on that measuring tape has made it really real lol.

Here's my stats :)

Jan 5th 2012
> June 1st 2012

Bust 46in
> 41in
Waist 41in
> 35in
Hips 48in
> 44in
L Leg 27in
> 24.5 in
R Leg 27in
> 24.5 in

My arms have remained the same at 13in.

I have got a pretty gruesome 'before' pic but I am no where near ready to post that yet........but I will (one day)

That is an amazing amount of inches (and a lovely
amount of weight on your ticker)
REALLY well done and keep doing what you're doing.

Yes everyone should keep track of their measurements. I have had similar results and I have been amazed. sometimes you just dont get how much you have lost until you see the measurements

Fabulous results! I love the measuring tape!! Our "current" measurements are similar =)

Are you losing in the reverse of how you put it on? I seem to be, which is great since my waist was the last to expand and is the first to shrink! (12.5 inches!!).

    Congrats on being smaller!! :flowerforyou:

OK, I know you're doing this! I meant are you doing something special for your waist like pilates or something?

I'm not sure pilates is 'special'... :-)

You can't spot reduce. To lose fat off your stomach, you need to do cardio and lifting, and ensure you've got your cals in / out in good balance.

No I haven't done anything special......yet! I've dabbled in 30DS but didn't complete it as I got quite poorly with a virus. I've brought Turbofire but I haven't started it yet.

I think those inches have gone purely because I've got so many to get rid of lol! My body has just had a major kick start :)

You've done an amazing job. Very well done.
  • I think you should post your before picture. You know you're never, ever going to look like that again right?

I'm not ready to do that yet, it still feels like it looks too similar to how I feel I look......if you get what I mean! I know I'm making great progress but until I feel like that is a completely different person I can't do it.
I will post them one day :)

Congratulations!! Sometimes it's the inches and not the weight - everyone should measure!

In 6 weeks I have lost 16.5 inches over all! I have only lost 3 pounds but the inches amaze me. I have been going to the gym and doing kick boxing and body sculpting twice a week (each) I love kick boxing and I know that is what is kicking my *kitten* good bye!!!

I didn't post my before pictures until I had my first set of progress pictures, so completely understand. I do my progress pictures every 2 months. Now looking at my "before" is almost surreal. I don't see the difference in the mirror, but when you look at the progress pictures the difference is huge!!

PS: Thank you! People always ask how I shrunk my waist so much, but honestly just walking and eating right nothing belly specific. I think genetics plays a huge roll in where we carry weight... So I just have my mother to thank! LOL

I was looking at my 'before' pics earlier and the difference in my back is insane!! I may well take progress pics on the 5th and then post them :)
