I like little butts

The point is that the thread is about the song 'I Like Big Butts' by Sir-Mix-A-Lot. It is meant to be fun and playful. You, however, are a killjoy so I will discuss this with you no further. Find something better to do. You are obviously very bored!
No, pretty sure it's about the butts.
Okay... fine... but its about little butts... not big butts! So therefore you were NOT being racist!
You like to argue......

Was graced with a nice....large shaped booty...
Hmm .. definitely says 'plant your teeth here'. It's like a 6th sense, bums talk to me0 -
I like my girlfriends butt. When I smack it she squees.0

I'm aware that the singer of Queen was gay. My point was that Sir Mix-a-Lot did not invent songs about big butts.
Also, I'm not sure how pointing out the history of a certain symbol in Western culture (i.e. big butts) makes me a bigot. I'm not the one who created that history, but pretending it never happened or believing it has nothing to do with what big butts symbolize in contemporary culture is pretty naive.
Liking butts of any size does not prevent a person from acknowledging and analyzing the role it plays in our culture. That would be like saying any man who is sexually attracted to women cannot also believe in gender equality. I bet every straight man in this thread would say that he is both sexually attracted to women AND aware and critical of the sexism perpetuated in our culture.
It doesn't have to be a "killjoy" to engage with a topic on multiple levels.0 -
I see your sexist point, but I think the racial aspect is much more tenuous. Yes, there are genetic aspects to one's body fat distribution, resulting "racial" stereotypes about the size and shape of the butts of certain groups of women, but there is also a lot of heterogenity even within "race." (I'm using quotes here, to point out that race is socially constructed, not a biological reality.) When I do squats to make my butt rounder, the decision is no doubt influenced by socialization, but it is not an attempt to perform "otherness."
Wait, there's a sexist aspect to this?
Apparently, but I got caught up in the more appealing fun-ist aspect to this, so all that other gibberish is totally eclipsed by the more important discussion of the dink (little booty) and the donk (big booty).0 -
how dare you not like every single thing about every single person!

FINALLY some recognition for the little butts!
:flowerforyou:0 -
This is one hilarious thread!!!
Poor guy, he was just putting it out there that he likes little butts. Perhaps because he's a little guy. I mean how would it look if a girl black or white with a big butt backs that thang up (yeh I said it) on him. He can't handle ALL that! She'll shake it fast and knock him across the room. IJS. It's makes logical sense for him to like little butts.
Maybe you should have quoted "honky tonk badonkadonk" by Trace Adkins instead0 -

I've really stopped reading your blah blah blah . . . too busy discussing booty and penises. I like looking at butts, it has nothing to do with social norms or cultural yadda yadda and everything to do with the fact that body parts appeal to me in various shapes and sizes. And now I end with this very apt picture as all this almost serious conversation has definitely impacted my fun-sies level.
