Ok, after reading about a million posts hating on girls with make up and sweaty tards not wiping machines, I thought I'd turn it around a bit...
What do you LOVE about the gym?
I LOVE.....
1. Setting a new personal best! Yah buddy this makes me feel like a rock star
2. Running into people I know at the gym. Makes it feel so friendly
3. Adrenaline rushes! Need I say more?
4. The steam room, sauna, and massage chairs. Ahhh it's like a spa
5. watching some crappy tv while doing cardio.... I don't have cable at home.

Free is awesome! And nice to have some eye candy too0 -
The employees are awesome and always greet me by name.
My crush is there which helps fuel my workout.
It's only $10 per month.0 -

Awesome staff is a big plus. I used to go every morning at the crack of dawn and see the same ppl. Then I switched to evenings for ~6 months. One morning I came in randomly and the staff were so happy to see me LOL0 -
There's this cool rack that's like shoulder high and has a bunch of hooks. About mid-thigh level are rails that extends back on each side.
So no matter how tall you are, it's really easy to put the bar at the right height for bicep curls. So you don't have to pick it up off the floor.
The rails make a really good place to hang your towel or blender bottle with supplements in it.
they think of everything!0 -
I don't have a gym to love. I have everything I need in the screen porch!0

I don't go to the gym anymore (saving money) also use to work at the gym.
But I loved that it was an all female gym didn't have to worry about wondering eyes.
Also every cardio machine had a smallish TV with multiple channels and good channels too!
Very nice place, go She's Fit!0 -
I love.....
that it's open till midnight...
the hot tub....
and watching the hot *kitten* guys work out0 -
I can go for a long swim 3 blocks from Grand Central Station. It's been over two years and I still think that's really cool.
About the gym in general and not just my gym?
Going in pissed off and coming out relaxed.
Lifting is the most immediate thing to change your body. Pump is amazing.
Cardio when your playlist hits a sweet song and you have 30+ minutes of perfect music.0 -
They give free pizza every 1st Monday....
WHY:sad:  :sad:0 -
It's in the spare room so I don't have to deal with waiting for others to get off. I can watch what I want. I can take breaks and still get right back on. I can be totally scuzzy looking and not worry about it. I can sing along to my music when strength training. I can work out naked if I so choose (when the kids aren't home anyhow.)0

i love that it's in my house0

I love the fact that it is working!0

I kinda love everything about my gym. I'm a little spoiled (I go to Lifetime Fitness).
I love:
The steam room
The yoga studio
All the classes they offer (tonight is Cardio Kickboxing!)
The amazing children's center that takes the kids to climb on the rock wall on Wednesdays!
The multiple swimming pools
The cafe
The spa
The fact that I NEVER have to wait for a piece of cardio equipment because they have about a million treadmills
AND they do birthday parties for kids---totally having my son's birthday party there in November, the kids can go swimming in the indoor pool with a water slide!0 -
That it's in my basement.0

WHY:sad:
You must work out at Planet Fitness. I had to deal with this 2 days ago. :grumble: So evil....
ETA: I never have to wait to use a cardio machine which is nice. (I forgot I was supposed to say something I love about it. )0 -
1. I have 4 gyms all connected that I can choose from, each with different things.
2. Lap pools! YAY!
3. I love that feeling of being a "regular" when you see the same people over and over and just nod and smile. It's like our own private club.0 -

Sounds like a scam to keep you fat so they can keep you coming back. "Remember, you ate that pizza we gave you Monday, don't you think you should pay for another month?" SMH0 -
that it's an extension of my family
there are no mirrors, therefore no douches
I bust out of my pre-concieved notions about myself.0 -

Kiehls shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion AND they have razors right by the showers. -- I havent had to buy shampoo in like a month! HAHA
2 blocks from my office
They keep the doors open to the upstairs balconies so you can work out outside - and its one block from the beach, so always nice & breezy & good view0 -

Uhm...can I join? And I thought my place was posh cuz they have wooden doors on the bathroom stalls. *snort*0 -
I am really jealous of all of you guys that have sauna / jaccuzi's at your gym. I guess you don't get that for $10 a month :P
I like that there are TVs on the equipment
I like how close it is to my house
I love that it's open 24hrs
Seeing friends there occasionally is nice0
