    Happy Weigh In Day everyone!

I'm holding "steady" this week according to the scale, no gain/loss.

Have Day 2 of Week 3 C25K planned for over lunch. I'm hoping the shin splints won't cause a bunch of problems, but will probably hang out on week 2 if they do until the muscles build up a bit more. No sense pushing myself too hard and risking a bigger injury. If anyone has any suggestions on how to treat/deal with splints, I'm all ears.

RICE - rest, ice, compression, elevation

    Feel better - K??!! :flowerforyou:

I'm up a pound to 245. I can't seem to kick it out of the 240s. :grumble: I lose, gain, lose, gain. But... I've been burning calories like crazy mowing my lawn, our neighbor's lawn and my friend's grandmother's lawn... using the elliptical at work... doing a circuit routine twice a week on the weight machine at work... been tracking my calories and eating back around 70% of them... doing better on the weekends and only going over my calories on Saturday... but not by a lot. So, I don't know. I know I've been retaining a lot of water... my fingers and feet feel swollen. I met with my doc yesterday and he prescribed some water pills, but I haven't taken them yet. I don't want to feel like I need them or anything. :embarassed:

Ugh. I don't write here much and when I do it feels like I'm always complaining! Sorry guys... :embarassed: :ohwell:

It sounds like you're exercising a lot, which is good! I also don't post on here a lot, so I kind of feel guilty that I forget sometimes . . .

    Hey All.
Still resting from my accident last week, and going to Physio, so I can't work out for a while.
Going for walks, and watching what I eat.

Not sure if added stress, and maybe lack of few meals made me lose, but.

    last week 203.5
    this week 200.5

Dammit, I want to see 19x on my scale.

You're welcome!! I think that the hardest part is the R - rest !! It's like we finally get into this awesome exercise mode & we almost crave the rush it brings & to have to take it easy is hard!! I know I had feelings of maybe this will derail me. But I really started concentrating on my eating & making sure I was eating good, healthy foods & staying within my calories, of course! And, to my surprise & delight, the weight contininued to come down. Hang in there!!

I know that feeling now. I've been pretty active since joining in April. That's at least 4 months, working out, cardio , etc. Now I'm being told to rest, allow the neck/shoulder to heal.
I want them to heal of course, but it sucks, as I'm restless sometimes and want to get a good sweaty workout in.

I totally hear you!! I had to turn in my treadmill running for Pilates!! Pilates is nice & all & you can work up a sweat if you're doing it right, but there's nothing like running & really huffing & puffing for air!! LOL!!

I hope that your neck & shoulder is okay!! Can you concentrate on your lower body - squats, lunges?? Can you do cardio or does it seem to "hit" your shoulder area too much?? Man, it is tough!! Hang in there!! You are doing so great & you will be in the 190's in NO TIME!!

I think I have been exercising too much, not sleeping enough and wearing myself out. Today is going to be a bit of a rest day for me. I worked my first night shift in over a month on Sunday--Only got two hours of sleep--the week has gone down hill since. I have realized how much sleep really matters. I used to work two nights a week and not sleep after and be fine. I also weighed 10-20 lbs more then. I feel blah today so I think I will just go for a walk and call it quits and avoid the chocolate.

It really is so much harder to be good when you don't feel good. Today I am going to truely take care of myself. Maybe the goal this week should be to do something just to take care of ourselves each day!--not exercise or diet related.

    Have a good day.

No weight change but that doesn't really surprise me too much because of the ER stuff. I will just exercise again tonight to Jillian do that last 20 mins. I'm still sore. Ugh. But I know I can do it. 23lbs. I can see my flap slowly going away. My DH and I are really thinking about doing Px90 so we will see.
