HONEYCRISP! They're only available (in my area, anyway) toward the end of summer, through fall and early winter. Worth the wait though - they're the very best!!0

galas are good but only for about a month after harvest, honeycrisps are good and its nice since the dont brown as fast after being cut. jonagolds are my favorite since they are a great all round apple that you can do anything with and survive storage well.
this time of year ii try not to buy apples since they just dont taste as good, ill wait for sept.
if you want a real treat though, get an asia pear:)0 -
