So, how many of you would maybe be a little shy of meeting someone from here because your pics aren't really exactly how you look? I notice all the angles showing of certain benefits, but maybe, there's more to the story there?
Just curious.

luv, curiosity killed the cat... lol!!! they are all me. I'm actually better in person! I've lost more pounds and inches... wanna see? lol!!!! ;D0

Nope - I look just like my pics. Better in fact because IRL I would have on make-up and heels and not be all sweaty from the gym.
Plus there are no pics of my butt... which is phenomenal!0 -
Okay....maybe I'm not really Spider Woman.0

Yes please.0 -
I actually don't like pics, I tend to look bad in them... I like to "think" I'll look better in person , not worse. BUT who knows? Haven't met anyone on here. Yet. But I get what you are saying about the angles...they can be deceiving at times. But hey, we are on here for a reason. To get healthy and look and feel better about ourselves...with that, the pics WILL improve naturally.0

I take great pics of myself like this one does!

i like to think i look the same..
wedgie & all.0 -
i would say i am a fair enough representation of my picture in real life... bar the fact my hair is usually poker straight.. an hour, some seriously heated rollers and a lot of hairspray needed to look exactly like that!!!!0

LOL!!. That had me laughing too hard!0 -
not at all.. they are as real as it gets. sometimes a lil too kinky hehe0
-
What you see is what you get.... so no, not afraid to meet anyone from here in person. If anything, I look far better in person, but then you'd have to meet me, to be the judge of that. :-)0
-
I think i look better in my photos then in real life... i know what angles are good and what aren't.... not saying i look different but just not as good as my pictures i guess.
I'd run screaming if i meet me LOL0 -
I have met about a dozen people off mfp from all over, so am not shy about it and represent myself as I am, my photos are all me, untouched, I have a variety of close up and full length photos (I try to keep them current), and my personality online is the same as if you met me. I dont know if people are fooled by photos made to look a certain way. And so what really, we all want to look our best but its who we are inside that matters the most, I would rather be liked for who I am than how I look. We are all here to either look better or maintain our looks (via fitness and eating right). Photos might draw you in to making a friend request, but its the person inside with a great personality, caring heart, great sense of humor, and their random acts of kindness toward their fellow mfp'rs, that is what holds your interest and is the most important part.0

Okay....maybe I'm not really Spider Woman.
Laughing so hysterically right now!
that was awesome!0 -
*shrug*
I dunno...my pictures are only roughly representative of me right now...I've gained a bit since my surgery. They'll be about 5% bodyfat higher than what will be my 'current' within a couple months though .
As for meeting people...I don't really worry about it. If they don't like me for me...wth difference does it make?0 -
I am not photogenic at all! I look way better in person.0

Thanks for a Fun Friday Forum Thread:
Actually, most of the folks on here are proud of what they have accomplished. Most want to show it off with good reason. I would bet most of the photos are real..and that they do look better in person! Are your arms longer? People here are dedicated to fitness and health. That's a good thing....some are dedicated to long arms, some big arms, some big..well...just...big ..not sure those weights are something you find at the gym. Fisheye lense could come in handy.
Meeting someone should be fun. Common and shared interests other than wanting to meet someone. Fitness takes a dedication..and most folks here are dedicated. So off we go.......meet you at the gym....and we can share losing and lifting the weight.0 -
I am 21 pounds down from all the pictures I have in my profile. Not posting any more until I reach my goal. But in the past I definitely "posed" certain ways from certain angles to get the desired effect.0

Agreed...just imagine if they liked you for being someone else! ? ! Worse huh?0 -
I actually met someone in person from a different weight loss site. He recognized me right away from my photos on my page. Later on that evening, he went back to the site and posted on the thread that he met me for lunch and that I was as beautiful in person as I was in my photos.0

The pic I have up right now is with my hair straightened. Usually it's an unruly, curly beast that refuses to be tamed.
The other pix don't really show too much...but I'm ok, for the most part, with how I look. I know I need to improve a couple of things. But if someone is hung up that badly on looks, screw them...I have a kick *kitten* personality; so in the end, it wouldn't be MY loss.0 -
I'm not super photogenic, but I am pretty sure my photos represent me 100%. For example, my current picture is me wrapped in a toilet paper wedding dress. I wear this sort of thing all the time.0
