scar, show it or not
I have this big scar on my tummy ( see pic) I got it fighting ninja midgets in Bolivia....or from having my gallbladder removed, it is kind of fuzzy.
I am already very reticent to wear a bikini because of my stretch marks, then you add the scar and I might just wear it in my bedroom. So please tell me the truth, would you be disgusted if you saw me at your public pool?
Not fishing for compliments, just wonder if it is as bad as I think it is.

Every scar has a story, it's personal and never ever shameful. It never makes me feel disgusted or like staring. It's just something you have on your body.
Besides, I'd be too busy checking out your body (not flattery, truth) to pay attention to any scar. Have you seen yourself? #hotabs.

I dont think there is anything wrong with scars. It is a part of you and is very intriging.0
-
I think you would notice it more than anyone else. Bikini time woman!0

I'd say a scar caused by ninja midgets removing an organ is definitely worth showing off.0

Scars are cool and so are you.0

I have a very hard time dealing with my extra saggy skin and very deep stretch marks on my lower belly (3 babues and too much junk food)..so much so that I only have 1 piece swimsuits. Have to be brave again to wear a bikini...funny thing, I wore them with no issues while I was pudge ridden. Im weird.
So I can understand your drawback....but chick, I think we need to embrace our bodies and love them and know that they arent perfect and that the imperfections are beautiful0 -
I have a deep quarter sized scar on my face from skin cancer....I saw own it as....u have no other choice0

I have a scar on my stomach and on my side from a skin cancer scare. I wear them with pride. They mean I've been through things and come out stronger on the other side. Rock it girl!0
-
Show it. of course! I wouldn't even notice it probably.
I have a big scar by my right eye! What should I do? Put a bag on my head when in public?
Rock that bikini girl!0 -
that scar is nothing. it's hardly even noticeable. honestly, if you posted a bikini pic, the first thing I would think is "she looks great!" definitely not "omg she has a SCAR!"0

Scars are character. I say own the bikini.0

Scars are fine. I'm self conscious about mine but in my experience it's much ado about nothing. I've had people ask and when I tell them they were like "Oh. See this one?" And then there's a weird conversation where we both talk about how we got them and then move on. This has happened with ladies & with guys.0

I have scar similar to yours, its on my upper hip though. Just tell them you were wrestling with a tiger and managed to win. Your reputation goes up 10 points. AND everyone will think you're cooler. Problemo solved
But honestly, yeah do, you have a great figure, don't let a scar hold you back!0 -
Wear the bikini and be proud! I have a scar on my left thigh from a pin I had placed in my leg at 10 years old. Even with years of healing, it's still visible, but I still wear swimsuits. I've NEVER had anyone ask me about it to this day and I lived in Florida all my life (swimsuits galore).
And if anyone asks, midget ninjas is an AWESOME icebreaker...0 -
I have a big ugly half-dollar sized keloid scar on my shoulder...I tell people I was shot..
I just started using mederma w/ sunscreen on it for when I'm out in the sun- the mederma is kind of expensive but you should at least be careful to keep sunscreen on it- too much sun can make the scar worse. Other than that- Rock it!0 -
I too, have a rather large one on my back from skin cancer (melanoma- wear your sunblock!) I don't shy away from tanks, racerbacks, etc. If anything, it adds intrigue. If you catch someone looking, they're interested, not disgusted.0

to be honest, I saw your face... and had to read the paragraph to search for the scar. Cover it, or not, it is your call... your still beautiful. *hugs*
But if it is bothering you, have you tried scar cream?
now I have to go to Bolivia... there is a bounty on ninja midgets0 -
You look great. Most people (if they are sane) are going to be thinking how great you look compared to them, and then they'll maybe feel a tiny bit better that you aren't "perfect" because you have that scar, therefore the scar is actually performing a public service. You'll be doing people a favor letting them see that scar.0

It's a cool scar. No need to hide it.0

I have an 8 inch scar going down the middle of my chest from open heart surgery. It starts about two inches below my collar bone. I also have two horizontal scars below that on my belly which are from the drains. I used to be self conscious about showing my scars. Now though, I figure they are a part of who I am and I don't think twice about showing them.0

I hardly noticed the scar. I had to really look to see it. Wear the bikini with pride!!0

show it!! you look great and no I don't think it looks bad at all!0

My daughter who is 5-1/2 has been through 2 major surgeries on her skull, she has a scar from ear to ear. You can see it, it's very wide. They told me that they can do a scar revision when she is older, but I'm leaving that decsion up to her because she may think her scar is awesome and may want to leave it the way it is. She knows it's there, I don't try to hide it with doing anything crazy with her hair.0

I have one on my stomach too but it's from Hydrocephalus (water on the brain) I had since I was 2 months old.0

*kitten* no scars are sexy. I think anyways. Guy or girl, doesn't matter.0

"Pain heals. Chicks dig scars. Glory...is forever."
I got my shoulder scoped a couple years ago. The scars have faded (unfortunately), but I enjoyed showing them off.0
