I don't like lyrics when I work out. I like a strong beat to carry me along. I download hour long music mixes from Podrunner (Free!) Each mix is a combo of dance/house/club music set to different bpm (beats per minute). If I want to go fast and hard, I go for a fast bpm (like 170bpm) or if I want to jog I choose a little slower (150). The music pushes me. I feel like I'm work harder when I've got a good mix on.

Pandora has several workout stations. Pretty much one to fit any kind of music you like! I favor the Dance Cardio cause it keeps me moving and helps me get through difficult runs.

Depends on your musical taste. I personally have a lot of Beanie Sigel and Onyx, but some Pantera, Disturbed and Limp Bizkit are on my playlist as well. I can't listen to happy/poppy music when I work out. Find what brings the inner demon out and turn it up.

A couple songs that always get me moving:

    Destiny's Child - Survivor
Bon Jovi - Last Man Standing
Miley Cyrus - The Climb (don't laugh!!)
    LMFAO - Party Rock Anthem
Black Eyed Peas - Tonight's Gonna be a Good Night
Lady Gaga - Born This Way
    Carrie Underwood - Undo It

Sometimes it's more the lyrics that kick me back into gear than the beat/music ....

Over the last week I've been dancing and working out to

    Something bout a truck-Kip Moore
    Georgia Peaches-Lauren Alaina
    Hicktown-Jason Aldean
    She's Country-Jason Aldean
Country Girl (Shake it for me)- Luke Bryan
    Hottie-Toby Keith
    Honkytonk Badonkadonk-Trace Adkins
    Merry Go Round-Janedear girls
Save a Horse (ride a cowboy)- Big and Rich
    Party Rock Anthem- LMFAO
Sexy and I know it- LMFAO

All songs that remind me of what I want to work toward looking like. If you get the videos up on youtube and can work out while watching the videos you see how skinny and toned the girls are. It motivates me more!! I know mostly country but hey...it works!!

I really love any of the faster stuff by VNV Nation... Carry You and Nemesis are probably my favorite of theirs and always make my walking/elliptical playlist. I usually keep my playlist heavy with industrial dance music... Angel Spit, Ayria, The Cure, etc.
