    heh, yeah, this.

i find electronic/electropunk/whatever music gets me moving b/c of the consistent beat -- less buildup/slowdown than regular rock/pop, which can throw me off when a song suddenly tapers after three minutes. mstrkrft and bloody beetroots remixes have featured p. prominently on my playlists lately.

My tastes vary pretty widely and a lot of it doesn't necessarily work out too well while i'm at the gym, i've found. Recently, i've subscribed to the Indie Soup Runner podcast and downloaded some old episodes. Lots of good, uptempo indie music in a pretty wide range of styles. it's been pretty fantastic so far. It's often a lot easier than sitting around and trying to assemble a playlist myself. Search for it in Itunes!

Foo Fighters. Nothing will get you going like 30 minutes of Dave Grohl screaming at you.

I run to this playlist: http://www.livestrong.com/slideshow/551454-the-20-most-intense-workout-songs/

And there's two mixes out on Spotify that were made for Jillian Michaels by some Italian DJ. I'd find links, but I'm at work sans spotify right now. Each is an hour long and decent to work out to, if you don't mind remixes of pop music.

Or there's always DJ Steveboy's podrunner podcast (free on itunes or his website).

I also love rockmyrun.com! You can get free credits, but the mixes are worth it even if you buy them. I LOVE the Hair Guitar mix on there, all awesome 80's songs. I jam the whole time I'm listening :)

I usually can't workout unless I got something that goes pretty hard. I personally listen to some stuff like:
DevilDriver, Lamb Of God, Children Of Bodom, Rammstein, Five Finger Death Punch.
But I also listen to stuff that isn't so hard like: Lacuna Coil, Silversun Pickups, Black Keys, Chevelle
and sometimes I'll even throw a little rap in there too. But it's usually old school stuff like Bone Thugs-n-harmony, Tupac, and A Tribe Called Quest. I can't do that easy going pop stuff when I workout it just doesn't fire me up.
