Big Girls in Bathing Suits

I love to swim; however, at my size I will simply not wear a bathing suit in public. I often see women my size or close to my size at the pool. Are you a big woman that wears a bathing suit in public? If so, what advice do you have for someone who just can't seem to do it?

I've found that one that covers me to the tops of my legs (therefore hides the spare tractor tyre) helps. I also try not to think about it and try to focus on the good it's doing me to be swimming! Kinda helps. Plus I go to do my "exercise" swimming at a time that it's adult's only session in the pool (don't know if they do this at your local pool) because I find the kids unnerve me more than the adults.

Oh! and everytime you put the bathing suit on, take time to appreciate that it's looser on you than last time - that's been n astonishing help recently for me...
