Man, those sure were a flop. They make a great used buy now, though. '05-'06 are on the list. They swapped from LS1 to LS2 those years.

Smart Car. - got one a couple of years ago. the gas mileage rocks (38 mpg in town, 36 with the top down), its convertible and has eyelashes now so its down right cute. it holds more then you expect, is also roomier then you expect and has more pep then you think. Insurance on it is $70ish a month full coverage and it is RWD. Hard tops rought 14k convertibles about 17k

*and for those of you about to talk s***, it allows us to be able to afford to drive the pick up and the old school charger.

I drive for Mercedes, who owns Smart. One day I had to run some tests on a Smart car... what a joke! I felt like I was driving a go cart at the mini-golf/arcade racing middle school students! there is no conversation in which that car can be taken seriously.

we love our ford freestyle. Got a good deal, loaded and good on gas. 2007 for 8,000 under 100,000 miles when bought.

Freestyles get pretty bad reviews from JD Power I think.

FLop in sales maybe but I love mine. You couldn't touch it in performance that year for the price and I had no rattles until I moved to Chicago 2 years ago (bought it new in March '04).

I don't know my husband checked it out and looked for over a year before he settled on the one we got. We haven't had any problems with it yet. And we put the miles on it believe you me.

I can get almost 30 mpg around town in my turbo eclipse (if I lay off the boost :P) and over 35 on a trip....If the smart car got over 60 mpg or so I MIGHT could see it but there are plenty of other cars that get at or near that.
