    Barbara Gordon. starts off an olympic hopeful, becomes Batgirl. kicks *kitten* in a pretty major way for years. Gets paralyzed and rather than retiring, becomes Oracle and hacks for the Bats... and STILL kicks *kitten* w/ her Eskirma skills. not to mention, she lead the first ALL GIRL superhero team, Birds of Prey

    in her personal life, she has a doctorate, was a congresswoman; she worked tirelessly for equality.

    she worked side-by-side with the Big Boys and never backed down, was never intimidated, never needed a man to rescue her.

    she was so much more than Batgirl, such an amazing character.

    plus, ginger solidarity.

    Saw it twice, I was rolling in the floor. The new Hulk is funny, the punch on Thor was funny too. I thought I was watching Bam Bam from the Flintstones when he smashed Loki's @zz.

    ok, i just have to ask - for those of you who want to be Rogue... why?

    her kickass powers come from Ms Marvel... the rest though? to live your ENTIRE life w/o being able to touch someone? never having contact? ever?

    i've always pitied Rogue.

    Mystique fraked with her head in a major way and tried to turn her into a criminal. nearly made her a murderer. and when she finally feared for her SANITY enough b/c of the Kree powers, then she turned to the XMen. she goes through years and years and years of never being able to touch anyone. and to risk their lives if she does.

    losing her powers for a short time was the blessing for her.

    so i'm confused as to why anyone would choose that?
