    Hey MJ!! We had a pretty good weekend here in KY.

    Breaking Dawn was awesome!! BIG surprise ending. (that's all I will say)

    Did you know the temps were (and still are) in the 60's?

    I'm also looking forward to a short work week!! Yay!!

    Is the Harvest Festival a time to give thanks for the bounty you enjoy, and share it with family and friends? If so, then yes as far as I am concerned.

    Harvest Festival is much more important in the country.
    Maybe it was more so 50 years ago as well?
    It is a church festival on a Sunday nearest or on The Harvest Moon and we would take stuff we had grown to church and sing "We plough the fields and scatter" and "Now thank we all our God" (I was a treble with "the voice of an angel" until my voice broke and the angel remembered where she had left it).

    Nowadays, in a town parish we take a few tins we bought in the supermarket - to be distributed around the refuges and night shelters. (or maybe taken home by the vicar?)

    We don't have the family gathering, secular element and do the UnGodly (probably) even know it is happening?
