I'm tired of "pear shape" hate.

I'm all hips and booty too! Not such a bad thing0

I am not sure why people hate on the pear. I am an apple/hourglass shape and I always thought the pear shape was the most feminine and beautiful.0
-
Who hate pears? I would love to be one. I am the dreaded apple. I have big boobs and look like a balloon. GO PEARS!0

Hang out in a different neighborhood and you find all sorts of fans.

I'm SUPER pear-shaped and sometimes I do hate it, but usually I'm just grateful that I don't carry my weight in my stomach. Sure, sometimes I wish I was hourglass shaped and therefore had a little more in the boob area, but I love being able to wear small tops and show off my small waist in comparison to my much more curvy hips/butt. Woohoo!
(Edited to add my measurements: about 34", 26", 38"!)0 -
The only people who don't like pear shape seem to be people who have it...0

Pear shapes are the sexiest!! we gain all our weight in the bottom so our tops are really small. It's very sexy cuz it looks curvy . All the men die over it!
the hate is just pure jealousy!

K...what are you talking about? Theres "pear shape" haters?0

I am not a pear shape naturally.. currently I'm more of a hmm. Watermelon shape? haha. When I am not so heavy though, I don't know what to call that shape. I am naturally big breasted, unfortunately. And before anyone says it, yes I know how bad that sounds. I have been in specialty sized bras as long as I remember. Even in high school when I was just 5' 3" and 105 lbs, I was still in a D cup. granted.. a 32 D is a lot better than a 40 anything!
To all pears out there... clothes sizing may suck (I am the opposite, big tops, slightly smaller bottoms) but at least you *have* a shape! Cheers to the pears, apples, and every other fruity size~0 -
I am all about my pear shape. Love my hips.....makes me feel sexy and womanly...does it make shopping a bit more difficult..sometimes, but I've learned what seems to work best for my body!
Plus I like pears....bosc, bartlett, d'anjou.

I am currently a buttless apple and would like to try some booty pear for a change...
I am with you..and always been jealous of those with smaller waists and pear shapes. I am pro pear... I am anti apple that I have0 -
Oh I should say I do wish I had a bit more naturally on top, but since I don't I just use the hell out of some padded bras0

<<<< PROUDLY PEAR!0

My pear shape has given me a great booty. I have a round bubble butt with a thin waste.....it is awesome. I wish I could lose weight more on my thighs to show all the nice muscles without being too bony on top but it is why I will do a bulk cycle next fall.0

Siiiiigh I want to love my pear but I just can't! All I see when I look in the mirror is FAT butt and FAT hips and FAT thighs no matter how much I trim and tone. In the end I guess it's just a self acceptance thing :frown:
lol this.....my weight loss is almost completely concentrated from the torso UP.....only after i reach a Junior small in tops will my body even THINK about CONSIDERING letting go of a smidgen of the lower body fat. i've always dreamed of wearing Abercrombie jeans since back in the day.......and i'm 47 (so i gotta let that one go i think)

now THAT'S a pear for ya :grumble:0 -
I wish I had a pear shape, I think it's so cute. I have more of the "apple" shape, which is decidedly NOT cute.0
-
I'm a pear shape, too. No matter what, even when I lose weight,I will ALWAYS be a pear shape.I accept and embrace it because it is who I am0
-
I've lost 50+ lbs now and I'm still a "pear shape" (well somewhat hourglass). I'm quite happy with my shape. I'd rather be this way than have no hips or booty0
-
Pear shape is pretty, feminine, and normal. I wouldn't be surprised if it was the most common shape. I would like to start a pear shape acceptance movement.
I read somewhere a while ago that it was the most common shape for women in the U.S. Granted, population changes and obesity may have altered that.
I agree, we should like what we have, but as an extreme pear, this shape is a huge challenge for me.0 -
I think you have a great idea! I am not a pear, but I support this movement 1000%!! :drinker:0

35"-28"-40"
You're not really a pear. A true pear would be more like 35, 37, 40.0 -
Wait...what? I thought "pear shape" was the preferred and desirable shape for women.
I thought it was more the hourglass, or having a full bust, a small waist, and smallish hips.0
