A year and a half later...

In December 2010 I decided that I needed to make a life change and become a healthier person. It wasn't the first time I'd tried, but every time before had fizzled out after 10 pounds loss or so. This time I was determined to make it stick. With the help of joining MFP that January, in 6 short months I lost 50+ pounds and went from a size 16 to a 5/6 (pants) and 3/4 (Dresses) by June 2011. For one year now, with many ups and downs in my personal life that would have previously left my broken and sabotaging my hard work, I have maintained with a little help from running, Jillian, and Insanity. While I am so incredibly proud of what I have accomplished in maintaining that victory for an entire year, lately I find myself forgetting just how far I've come because I no longer see progress on the scale. So, here I am, reminding myself once again that while the scale isn't moving, I have made progress in this last year in other ways.
