Accents
I just called customer service and the girl that was helping me asked where I was from because I have a "sexy accent". Made me laugh and then I got to thinking what I consider to be a sexy accent...
Put a man who speaks like Jason Statham in front of me and you can bet your bottom dollar that my panties will drop.
On the other hand, I find a southern accent to have the same effect on me as nails on a chalkoard or small dogs barking.
Your turn

I love that brash British accent. Dirty accent. And I love southern, and my ex was French Canadian - his accent was sexy as hell. I really don't care for Australian accents

Why did you have to START the thread with offending a whole group of people?0 -
I like French accent, I think it is supper sexy , speccially if it comes with a side dish of a French man. :-)
Don't like southern accent
I have Russian accent, regardless of living in the USA for the last 20 year ggrrr0 -
I find most accents have a certain effect on me lol Mostly Scottish (to the point that I find Craig Ferguson sexy) or British (Hugh Grant could read me the phone book and I'd be a very happy gal.) I'm Canadian and when I was down south I got complimented on my accent. I found that funny.0

Australian....any plain guy is 5X hotter with an Aussie accent, and then of course Irish
I have a "country" accent that comes out when I'm angry. Not sure if it could be southern, but I grew up on a farm haha.0 -

 being British, I'm finding it funny that you lovely Americans seem to enjoy the accents of our nation!
For me, Italian or French. But if I'm really honest, it's not an accent as such, but a voice, my fella has a lovely voice, I love talking to him on the phone!! ( and he's South West British!) :smooched:0 -
I'm from Oklahoma still have my southern draw. Been out here in SoCal 20 yrs.
Love it!0 -
my favourite accent on a man is a midlands account, specifically stoke ( good job really as my fella is a Stokie) but I'm sorry but the south Africa accounts really grates on me.0

matchbox_girl:Australian....any plain guy is 5X hotter with an Aussie accent, and then of course Irish
Don't come to Australia then, you'll be sorely disappointed when you hear 'real' Australian accents :P0 -
I love British, Scottish and Irish accents, and all the complex variations depending on the exact area that a person is from.
I have a slightly 'hick' accent, although I can't hear it myself. I grew up on a farm in Delaware, so my accent is a mix of southern and northeastern, and my uncles all had thick Alabama-style drawls.
I get told all the time that my voice and accent are hard to place, few people ever get it right, because it's a strange mix. I can however pick out someone from Maryland/Delaware in a heartbeat most of the time if I hear them on the phone or talking nearby.0 -
Sexier Accent...
Group 1: Sandra Bullock, Julia Roberts, Matthew McConaughey, Reese Witherspoon, Channing Tatum, Zach Galiafinakis
Group 2: Conan O'Brien, Scott Wolf, Leonard Nimoy, Eliza Dushku, James Spader, Uma Thurman, Matt Damon
Which group would you rather listen to?0 -
Quite like a NZ accent0
