I try to have at least 25-30 grams of fiber per day in my whole grains, fruits & veggies. For the days that I just cannot get there I take 1 -2 fiber gummies before bed.
The gummies have 4 calories for two gummies. I have found these taste better than any other fiber supplement. I strongly recommend making sure you are drinking water and eating as many of your fiber grams in food but this works for me in a pinch.0 -
A huge YES!
Drink lots of water and take in a fiber supplement.
All will start to flow well again...lol0 -
What kind of DIET are you on that you "celebrated" by eating a KIWI ? OMG. THAT is probably the problem.
My experience is that DIETS do not work. They are short-term fixes. Must eat to fuel our bodies, maintain our metabolisms, keep our bodies FUNCTIONING; must eat to lose.
PLEASE look at your nutrition.

I don't have this problem AT ALL haha, but I know it's because I eat a lot of fiber. I generally have around 35-40 grams per day. I'm not saying you should bump it up to this, but having a bowl of oatmeal with flax meal and berries on top for breakfast just might do the trick
Ooo, oatmeal is really good for this too. Usually once I eat a bowl of it, I'm on the crapper within the hour. I need to buy some oatmeal, now. Oh, and tracking your fiber might also help. I stopped tracking my sugar (I go over everyday with the sheer amount of fruit I eat anyway...) so I could track my fiber because I was having the same problem.0 -
Thats not an embrarrassing everyone wants to know. When you drink lots a water it will start getting things moving. I go about 2-4 times a day because i've added more water. Exercise along with the water will help.0
-
WATER. track your water and try to drink like 12 cups a day. it works for me!0
-
more water, and if that doesnt help, a cup of black coffee should do the trick!0
-
If you do decide to drink the senna tea, remember that just because it says tea or natural, it doesn't mean it's something you should use often.0

PRUM JUICE BABY0

Your diary was closed so not sure what you have been eating. Your reference to eating a whole kiwi makes me wonder if you are eating enough.
Besides all the good advice you are getting you may want to try a stool softener like colace. Very mild and safe to take regularly for extended periods of time.0 -
I use a handful of shelled walnuts,,Just watch ,Keep it to just a handful because of the calories,,It works for me,,

I found (someone with some bad issues, like I've gone four weeks without issues) that I try to get in at least 35 grams of fiber, lots of healthy fats, and lots and lots of water.0

You celebrated by eating a Kiwi? You need to specify it was a whole kiwi? Something is very, very wrong with your diet.0
-
The less you eat, the less will .. come out the other end!
It was an adjustment for me too. But I didnt change my diet, but i do go less often then what i did before lol0 -
I am with McBully on the prunes, I also use licorice mint tea every night0
-
F-I-B-E-R! and liquids.
I eat 2 servings of all bran every breakfast and crap like a cow before bed.0 -
Prune Juice is a Warriors drink!0

Your body is most likely just adjusting to the change in diet. It does take a couple weeks. Good chance you're also eating less food so there is less volume going through you. Fiber and water will also help.
^^^ That ^^^ Less volume, but if you feel that you should be pooping and you aren't, try a natural stool softener and drink lots of water. Also, eat SALAD...lettuce is great for getting things moving and giving you some volume! Hope you go soon! LOL:mad:0 -
too much protein maybe0

To solve the problem immediately: Prunes/prune nectar! Seriously. Just don't go crazy with them or you'll never wish for a poop again in your life.
Drink a lot of water daily to keep everything going.
Also, I wouldn't recommend taking any otc laxatives, even senna, they're not good for you at all and can be SUPER uncomfortable for your belly.0 -
For me it is one cup of coffee with breakfast and the problem is solved within 20 min.
You took the words right out of my mouth. This works like a charm every time. Good luck!0 -
A bit more fiber will probably help...whole grains, beans, etc. Also...drink lots of water!

just for fun...
you know what a screwdriver is, right? - vodka and orange juice.
try vodka and prune juice - that's called a pile driver.0 -
Thanks for this thread. This healthier and less eating was supposed too make things better. After 2 months of it, my insides are consistently acting the most abnormal they have ever been.0

Okay...so here it goes...I've been on this diet (which I don't really like the word) for a week and a half and have found much inspiration, advice and motivation - you guys are the tops! I have lost 5 pounds and celebrated eating a kiwi, the whole thing...not just a slice *WOOT*
I've been eating within my calorie range, fruits, spinich - like crazy - fish (sardines and tuna), I stopped bad starches, fried food and picked up a lot of exercising. Okay now I'm procrastinating.....
Anyone have trouble not having a BM? Once for me (well almost significant)...but really? I used to gety excited about eating a cheeseburger...now I just want to poop! Any suggestions on what I can eat or drink (naturally)?
Sorry to have to post this ....but I am clueless...I thought yes Buy fruits and toilet paper...but its a no go!
Thanks in advance for any advice0 -
Maybe somebody has a link to dr. oz and the "scoop on poop".0

Water and fiber. Try oatmeal, grits, beans, etc. And cardio will definitely get you going.0

When I started eating clean....the first thing I did was a Sea Salt Detox and that sent me to the restroom within 15 min.....it is definitely something you do in the morning on a day you do not have to go anywhere. You can google Sea Salt Detox and it will give you the directions and ingredients. It is a quick fix, the site say you can do this 7 days but I only could take 2 days.....0 -
More fiber, water, and metamucil. It helps me anyway.0
-
fiber capsules will help along with a lot of water
