It's a doughnut... U didn't just run over a toddler... Just let it go....

    Agreed lol.

Personally I try not to be too strict or tell myself that certain foods are forbidden or bad. I don't think I should feel guilty for eating a doughnut or a piece of candy.

If you are changing so that the staples of your diet are nutritious then you should feel happy and proud of yourself. :)

You ate a doughnut. You also:

Admitted to yourself and others that you ate the doughnut.
    You owned your choice.
    You are now accountable.
You know what you have to do to compensate for that doughnut.
You just made hundreds of strangers now want the hell out of a doughnut.

    Good work, keep it up!

Don't worry about it! Life is too short to be super strict all the time. It doesn't matter if you have a little weight to lose or a lot, we all deserve treats. I try to allow a daily treat within my calorie allowance and sometimes, if I'm really craving a crap meal from McDonald's, I'll indulge. This whole site is about a life style change, not a super strict diet. Make healthy choices daily, and treats within means! :) Feel free to add me as a friend too if you're looking for new pals!

I'm very self conscious about going into the red or overeating because sometimes what I eat isn't very filling.. I make the mistake sometimes of eating too much for breakfast and lunch and not leaving enough allotment for dinner and a snack. I would love a couple of glazed donuts with some french vanilla ice cream......oh yeah!!!!

I'm literally eating rhubarb pie as I read this thread... :)

I plan on being able to eat what I want for the rest of my life... the key is MODERATION!

So, I'm having a very small slice of pie... and later this week I'll likely have some ice cream... and I know I'm having pizza on Friday and treats at the movies when I take my kids out.

I'll just make sure I have room left in my calories for the day, and if I don't think I will, I'll go on my elliptical or go for a walk.

It's been working so far... :) Just don't stress about it.

I hope you don't feel guilty. I used to restrict all the time to lose weight. But I'd never keep it off. Now, if I want a doughnut, I'm gonna eat it. But I better make darn sure that's what I want and that I want it for the taste and not because I'm feeling emotional. I no longer feel restricted, and I am able to lose weight and keep it off for good. Might not be as quick as others. I'm finally okay with that.

I prepared and ate a whole box of cheeseburger macaroni hamburger helper throughout the day yesterday... Added extra cheese at the end too. Sometimes you just crave things.

I consider it a reset, and am back on full swing today.

One donut isn't going to undo your weight loss.
I firmly believe in treating yourself from time to time. Don't feel bad.

I try not to be super strict. Try developing an eating plan that's sustainable over the long haul. Makes things a lot easier.

Now I am trying to get past the guilt, because I have been SUPER strict these past three weeks.

    Hmmm

What did it taste like? Describe it in detail please!! Don't leave anything out! You are my hero! No, seriously it's no big deal, you were able to stop at 1, that is an accomplishment!
