    TEXAN....................

So, funny you refer to your nationality as Texan...My mother is a 4th or 5th generation Texan. My great grandmother, grandmother and grandfather would refer to themselves as Texans rather than Americans or Mexicans...

My nationality is American. I guess you could say my ethnciity is Mexican with Spanish maybe some American Indian and maybe some Middle Eastern (rumor has it that one of my great grandmother's family may have been from the Middle East). My family has lived in the United Sates for more than 150 years and there is a possiblity a handful of my ancestors came to the United States when the border moved...one day they were in Mexico and the next day they were living in the United States and they did not leave their homes.

I am 7 th gen. The first person in my family born in Texas was in 1827.

Late 1830's early 1840's but recently found documentation that indicated that my great great great grandfather was born in "old Mexico" whatever that means. So, the border moved on you family?
