Muscle weighs more than fat!
SLAP
LOL!!! My husband told me this yesterday and I was like "Lets sit down, I'm ready to debate this until the cows fly home!"
I'm thinking of putting a dime in a jar every time I hear it. I figure I'll be able to buy Hawaii by 2013.
When I see the muscle weighs more than fat posts, I want to pound my head against a wall. Where do people get this misinformation?
The saying is NOT litereal! What someone means really is one lb of fat takes up a lot more space then one lb of fat. They refer to weight as MASS not actual weight. Thus, the muscle weighing more then fat. Another example- If you filled a five lb pail with muscle and weighed it, then you filled the same 5 lb pail with fat, the fat would weigh much less. Just like a cup of air weighs less then a cup of water. It is all about density, not actual weight.0 -

The problem is, a great deal of people do take that statement literally.0 -
Your muscles are retaining water from the weight lifting. It's normal and will come back off.
agree after your muscles relax and start to "tone" even more you will see a difference.0 -
