We just need to keep this thread going... commenting on your progress, whether your feeling stronger, if you need a "push"...
    Good luck!
  • Can I use my ab lounge? (I get really bad lower back pain when I do sit-ups on the floor):ohwell:

I was actually thinking about doing the squats too... BUT I think I'll save that one for later, I don't want to over load myself and want to be able to still walk on my rest days...LMAO

No way I could do squats... squats + hillsprints and I won't be able to walk :(

I'm not sure what the ab lounge is, but if this alleviates your lower back pain, then I say go for it!

I am SO in!! It's my first day joining MFP and I think this will be just the kick in the keister that I need. It's especially helpful for days like today when I leave work and go directly to school. I don't get home until about 8 or so and I'm too tired to hit the gym. This I can do at home!

As for the Ab Lounge- I have one too, and while I may consider it, I think it will actually impair me in this. I find that I tend to do longer movements on the Ab Lounge, rather than merely crunches.

I just finished the test and got to 47... I think I should have pushed myself for another 3 or 4, but I am feeling it still. I guess it's a great starting place!

  • I feel it in my tummy today... not badly but I can definitely feel that I worked harder than I have been lately! :flowerforyou: AND that was just the "test", wait until I do Day 1!! WooHooo I actually love the feeling though because that just means it's working!!

I did the test and got to 40. I had hoped to be in the right column, but I will just have to work my way there!

Question- is anyone doing this in addition to one of the other challenges? IE- the push ups or squats? I think I am going to do at least two of them during the same six weeks and was wondering if there were any thoughts from someone who may have done that.

Did my initial trial... only 8 situps :(
All this running and I think I've pretty much ignored my core muscles. Need to rectify that.

I am doing the push-ups in addition to these. My Day 1 is actually today because I had to do the test first.

I haven't been able to look at the link yet. But I did 200 yesterday & 200 today. I know it doesn;t start out that high, but it is at that number that I feel it the next day. I dont just do crunches, I do leg lifts, oblique cruches etc. I like to do abs everyday, so my goal is 200 a day. Keep crunching...and we will all be ripped before we know it.

I did my Day 1 today. I was doing great until the end of the last set- I finished, but I was feeling the burn! I find that having some good music going helps. :smokin:

I started this today & loved it. I started right column & it was also suggested week 3... I still started week 1. For some reason, I have always been able to do sit-ups.

I also started the squats! Now there's some burn.

I've always been able to do sit-ups too, so I started the right column (should have been week 3 also)...
I think I will incorporate the squats on my rest days...that would be today! lol
