    A couple thoughts: I mentioned in the first post that I've never done anything like this before. I am completely shocked about putting my weight down in writing in a pretty public fashion! I don't discuss these numbers with ANYone. I'm like a little kid playing hide and seek with body parts hanging out everywhere--people can of course SEE what I weigh but I pretend it's not really what it is. All of that to say, I am surprised how much accountability and thoughtfulness this has brought to my health regimes. I've been exercising for several months and kinda watching what I eat but having put down these goals and shared them so honestly has been a bigger deal than I would have expected. I have lost my first two pounds again for about the 5,000th time but if I have another week like last week then perhaps it can become 4!

    Also, I'd been keeping up with the posts pretty well til the weekend! Oh my! So many pages of posts I've missed! I will have to come back and catch up a little later. I also have to find a picture to upload and get one of those nifty ticker tape deals! MFP learning curve!

    I enjoy and appreciate all the input, feedback and encouragement. I'm glad to be doing this!

    I was a little worried about overeating this week because of 4th of July revelries, as I tend to eat too much when I'm with friends and family. But I actually followed through! And tried to keep my water intake high :)

    Very happy with this.

    It isn't as low as I would like but I indulged in ice cream this weekend to celebrate summer finally arriving! I'm back to work today and I get my water bottle back so I will be drinking more water... I have this habit of drinking more when it's from a bottle instead of a cup as I don't refill my cup.

    I know I haven't posted much but I have read all of your posts and I think you are all amazing, inspiring and well on your way to reaching your goal!

    My son was sick last week (hand, foot, and mouth), and then from Thursday until today, I have been ill (sore throat, dizziness, feet blisters), but will be doing exercise this week, and don't worry, i have been resting, have a 5k on Saturday that I am running so i refuse to let my body say anything less then we need to!!!!!!!!!!! My water intake was up to 5 glasses, when normally i only drink about 3 a day, but what triggered all of my illness to start was drinking water from the faucet that had softener salt in it instead of the actual well water (and once i had too much salt, everything dominoed from there).

    Well although I am up .8 pounds from last week, i consider this a victory. When I weighed myself Saturday morning after my vacation, I weighed 149.8. So with getting back to my exercise routine, drinking lots of water and making much better food choices I was able to shed 3 of the 3.8 pounds that I gained by eating my son-in-laws wonderful food for a week:-) I am off to the gym for a good workout, but I will be back later to comment on your posts. Thanks Kristen for your work and wonderful support!

    I'm looking forward to a great week and a great weigh-in next Monday!!

    Good job to everyone that lost this week, even those of us who lost fractions instead of whole pounds. Still going in the right direction.

    For awhile now I've been concentrating solely on the eating right part, which is good but I have to get my *kitten* back in the gym.
    Doing hot yoga a few times a week isn't going to cut it.. and that's mostly for stress relief anyway.
    I've got new tires on my bicycle and I'm ready to get back on it.

    On another note:
    Anyone else in this challenge use a fitbit?? I'm finding that it really helps me come to terms with how many calories I actually burn in a day and therefore how many i really need to be eating.

    I'm not really sure why my weight fluctuated up a bit. Admittedly, I didn't eat very clean with week with all the picnics and parties. But I always ate within my calories and worked out everyday (spin or swimming and 30DS). I've heard some people say they put on a little weight at the beginning of 30DS and then it comes off later. Maybe that's why.
