I went to a show over the weekend. Was going through the line, and get to the front. Give the guy a ticket and he goes to put the wristband on my wrist

"Whoa bro, can your wrists be any be bigger bro?"

I wanted to slap the taste out his mouth.

I only have two words: Manager. Now.

People in customer service should know better than to comment on appearance. I say this as someone who worked her way through university by working in a grocery store.

"Whoa bro, can your wrists be any be bigger bro?"

My response would have been something along the lines of "the last guy I punched, I felt nothing thanks to these big wrists"

Honestly man, at times when somebody's being rude and you can't find time/need/desire to be witty just go with the simple "Go F*** your mother". No need to tip-toe around folks like these

    big wrists? what the hell?

seriously? of all the things in this world to say to a stranger... he comments on your wrists?

    that's actually kind of funny.
    ***
you know what they say about men with big wrists... *wink*
    ***
good thing they're not as big as your mouth
    ***
you think my wrists are big... you should see my...
    ***

on a side note, when short people comment on my height in a way that seems unflattering, sometimes I'll act surprised...
i.e. holy **** your tall! to which I say "holy ****! I had no idea!"

    gets a laugh

Yeah I had that at a show when I was 19. Not only did the guy have to make a huge deal out of me being a minor (they had different colors for minors and people 21+ since the place served) but he acted like it was a grand struggle to get the thing on me. And yes I have big wrists naturally, not just because I'm fat.

Either way it's a pick your battle thing. You can either ignore it or, like me, make a sarcastic biting remark in return and walk off knowing they can't come after you. Some people want to make a huge deal out of things like weight, height, gender, and race for no reason. You can get offended all you want but showing it just feeds them. "Oh I said something and they're mad/upset/crying. It is as big a deal as my bucktoothed daddy said!"
