I got so sloshed that I don't remember my friend carrying me to my boyfriend's sofa and waking up on the floor. I had an accounting test the next morning that I didn't make.

Well, it was 21 years ago, but I do remember it well. I went to local sprint car races. It was fun. I didn't have a single drink, because I just don't like to drink. :)

I stayed at home. Nobody has ever cared enough for me to give me an actual birthday party. No one. Ever.

Birthday's aren't really all that big of a deal anyway.... I was a little kids last time I had a birthday party thrown for me and that just involved my cousins.

It involved a lot of drinking, that's all I remember. But my 19th birthday was more important and that involved a lot of drinking too. I have a general idea of what I did, but I don't really remember them.

My 21st was kind of lame. A couple of my friends took me out for dinner and drinks -- but the waiter we got was a total *kitten*. He was more concerned about getting a big tip from the older ladies at the table next to us. He kept forgetting things and getting annoyed when we would remind him, and the drink I got was awful! We didn't stick around, and I was upset that my friends gave him a good tip -- as soon as he heard it was my 21st birthday, he made the assumption that we didn't have money to tip well and didn't bother to treat us well at all, he should've gotten what he deserved for ruining a customer's special occasion.

I was having morning sickness and planning the final details of my wedding, which was 3 weeks after my birthday. We had planned on baby making on our honeymoon. Haha plans. Those work out.

I'm in Canada, my 19th was much more fun. We rented a party boat, got drunk and went swimming and floated around in our inner tubes. Spent the night anchored in the middle of nowhere with a few good friends. Went to a little bitty marine island for breakfast and shopping before we went home.

That's the version my parents heard anyway...
  • I turned 21 last year and my borfriend took me on a weekend-trip to Paris, my family celebrated me with cakes and gift...and my friends took me to restaurant!

I took myself out at midnight! LOL Just for one drink, then I went home. I was going out to dinner and to some local bars the next day. I took it pretty easy on my 21st. Just because I turned 21 didn't mean that I hadn't already experienced very heavy drinking and it had gotten me into some very hot water... I enjoyed being with good friends and playing darts at one of the good local spots near my school. I enjoyed remembering my 21st birthday and not waking up with a hangover! LOL Or in a hospital bed. Be careful, have fun, and go with responsible friends who--if you decide to drink heavily--can take care of you and get you home safely (that means a DD!) Happy 21st birthday and enjoy your time SAFELY no matter what you choose to do!

my birthday is jan 1, so we started partying at midnight,.. i had a bunch of shots really quick, got plastered drunk and ended up in a mud puddle wrestling with my friend. i think the exact words when i finally body slammed her into the puddle was, "your heads in a puddle and you like it!" of course none of the guys standing around tried to break it up.

she ended up throwing up over the railing of the bar we were at and i passed out on the bar.

i dont suggest you try this... :)

My parents and brothers all went to a local grill & bar for dinner, it was the bar my grandpa (mom's dad)bar tended at when he was alive. Then my husband and I went together and I got my 1st tattoo (his treat), then went bar hopping with a friend, for the free drinks. It was a great day/night!

I'm English so our big 'now you can drink alcohol' birthday is our 18th. That was 23 years ago, before there were any real ID issues so my friends and I had already been drinking in pubs for a year or two! For my 18th I had a big party in a club for all my friends and family, during which I drank many Black Russian cocktails but didn't get stupid drunk :)

Then I moved to the US (Albany NY) for a University exchange when I was 20 and couldn't drink in bars as the alcohol drinking age is 21 there. It was so weird! Luckily I turned 21 three weeks after I arrived in the US and my new American and British friends got me a cake and big card and sang happy birthday in the middle of the college cafeteria as a surprise. Those of us who were old enough went to a cool bar, and we also got my new 19 year old Scottish friend in using my passport ( I passed it through the bathroom window after I got in!) as she looked vaguely like me and the accent and foreign passport confused the guy on the door. I don't remember much about it, but it was the first time I had seen beer served in pitchers! I remember having a great time - I stayed in an international dorm when I was over there and so there were people from all over the world celebrating with me - we had only known each other for three weeks but the celebration really brought us all together :)

I went out with my now-husband, my sister (who is three years younger than me) and her husband. In Wisconsin, she could legally drink because her husband was with. However, she was SUPPOSED to be the sober cab. I was keeping an eye on how much everyone was drinking, and stopped drinking myself after one mixed drink. My husband, who was back up sober cab, was wasted, as was my brother-in-law. My sister claimed she had only had two and was fine to drive. We headed out, and as she was swerving down the interstate at 80 miles an hour, she put her hand over her eyes and said she could see better that way. I made her pull over and drove all of my drunk family home.

Now, my bachelorette party the following May, that was kick *kitten*. I started drinking at seven am, and went out to breakfast with my girls and mom. I remember shots during breakfast, then the next thing I remember was a blur at a tattoo shop... I have a butterfly on my hip (wtf?). Briefly surfaced at lunch, until four more shots were served my way. Then I remember waking up in my mom's bathtub when someone turned the shower on me.... Sobered up for two seconds to get dolled up to go out for my official "Bachelorette party". Went to B Dubs, got drunk again, and went to a bar. There were two other bachelorette parties and one bachelor party in addition to mine at the bar. We all had a battle of the brides events and contests that the DJ's put on. they made me put a dumb t-shirt on that had a bunch of things I had to accomplish, and then the person I accomplished them with had to sign their name on the shirt. I spanked a random guy with a belt, got some strange man's underwear (gross, I woke up with them tied around my right wrist the next morning), and had to hand out condoms. I don't remember much of this and the pictures show my eyes closed as I stumbled around... I also hit the bar's stripper pole, which must have been a scary sight... Because I cannot dance to save my life. Towards the end, I vaguely remembering crying because I wanted my husband, and made my sister drive me almost an hour home so I could snuggle with him.

    Fun times!

Forgot to mention... I have no idea how I ended up with men's signatures in permanent marker all up and down my cleavage... Just saying.

Not a darn thing. I'd already moved out on my own, 150 miles from friends and family, and was just getting established in my new town with my new life.
