5'4" and a size 10

I am 5'4", newly weighing 200lbs, can't imagine wearing a size 10, can't wait to fit into something like that!0

I think I was 160 in a size 10, I am 5'4". I'm 150 now and comfortable in a size 8. I just bought a dress that's a size 6 and just a tad too snug for 8 hour work day comfort (mini goal!)0

There's no simple answer to this.
It depends what country you live in (I'm guessing US, though your profile doesn't say so)
And what body shape you have.
And what brand your dress is.
I'm 5'4" and around 160 pounds and I wear an Aussie size 12-14 - which is a US 8-10 (more or less).
But, sizes vary so much from brand to brand, you'll just have to wait and see when you get there0 -
I am 5'3", 136 lbs, Depending on the dress company I'm anywhere from 4 - 14. Usually though I can fit into a girls 16 (????). I hate girl sizes.0

I'm 5'4". I have a muscular build so I weighed 172 lbs when I was a size 10. I'm now down to about 138 - 140 (depending on the day) and I fluctuate between a size 2 and 4.0

Wow, lucky lucky people on this thread at 180 in size 12.
I am currently 176.5 and am 5'3" and I wear size 14. I wasn't able to wear size 14 until I was 178.5. The size 14 dress pants are comfy but size 14 jeans are still a little more snug than I prefer. It doesn't stop me from wearing them though. Ha! I am thinking it will be another 15-20 pounds before I'm in a size 12... but just guessing.
Good luck!
I agree with this. I'm 5'4" and 180 is a size 16 for me.
155 = 12
140 = 10
130 = 6 or 80 -
Im 5 2'' and wearing a size 10 as I type- I weight 139 and have a 33 inch waist- they are a tiny bit lose but I wouldnt squeeze my butt in to an 8 just yet. I find it very hard to believe a 170# person of any height wears a 10 comfortably.
There would be a very very tight squeeze. At 170lbs (77kg here for me) I was still a size 16. No way on earth a 10 would have gotten past my anything.0 -
I think it depends on your body's build and the cut of the garment. I'm 5 ft and was somewhere around 125 lbs the last time I fit into a size 10 (many moons ago). Although, I could fit into a smaller dress size than I would a shirt or pants.0

Not the same for me:
I am 202, 5'4 and wearing a 14 mostly -- definitely in dresses and skirts. 14-16 in pants. L-XL in tops. The last jeans I got were a 14.
185ish for me is about a 12. Not sure what happens lower than that.0 -
I'm 5'3". When I wore a size 10, I weighed around 145. I'm also pear-shaped and carry all my weight in my hips and butt, so it depends on your body composition. When I was 155, I wore a size 12!
You and I are close to the same age...but I'm thinking from some of these posts that sizes are a little bigger than they used to be. Back in the 80s, when I weighed 120, I struggled to get into a 10. I was more comfortable in a 12. (I'm also 5' 3 1/2").0 -
I weigh 134 and wear anywhere from a 6 to a 10. Depends on the brand....0

I am 5'4" and when I started I was 163 and a size 10. I am now 135 fitting into a size 4 or 6 depending on the brand. But again it depends on your body type!0

I am 5'4" and when I am a size 10 I am right around 150-160 lbs.0

I`m 5`5" and 163 and wear mostly 8`s but still some 10`s (got into 10 when I was around 178 but they where snug then)0

I got comfortably in a 12 at 175 lbs (I'm 5' 4") - smallest I've been in a long time. I think I'll hit a 10 around 160 lbs. I weighed roughly 145 lbs in college/high school and was an 8.0
-
I'm 5'3" and currently 157, and on the verge of buying size 10 jeans (the 12s are falling down on me). I'm a rectangle though.0

I'm amazed at these posts, people are saying they're between 11-12stone and saying they're in a 10, they are not very tall women, at my heaviest around 12stone due to steroid treatment, I was a UK 14, would never get a 10 or 12 near me. To be in my size 10-the heaviest I could be would be 140lb and then not all shops 10 would fit. I feel fat at 11stone. I'm now roughly 135lb and still a size 10. How can two people be a size 10 with a difference of 20lb? If I get to 130lb I would be a size 8.
12 stone at 5'4 is classed as obese, and one at 135lb saying a size 4 to 6.
Some people must be in denial about their size or weight.1 -
The thread is 9 years old and I imagine most of the posters are talking about an American size 10 - which equates to a UK size 14.
Whilst I totally get your point - some of the numbers don’t appear to add up, if you take the difference between US and UK sizes into account it’s a bit less outlandish! 😂2 -
I am 5' 3" and wear a size 10. I weigh 165 lbs. I have a physically demanding job and I work out several times a week 🙂0
