    (when I get really cross but am a little amused at the same time due to whatever my little one is doing), I get him to stand and look at me, raise his hand and repeat whatever I think of at the time.....ie.

    I (name of child) solemnly swear.....not to do x,y,z
    I promise to be a really good boy and clear up my toys (or whatever)
    If this is not done in 5 minutes mummy will tickle me!

    It usually breaks the tension and he gives in and does it in a much calmer manner....or with a little reluctance depending, but in the end he does what he is asked.

    When ever my Great Nephews and Great Niece come over... Andrew... just because the dog is the size of a horse does not mean you can ride him like one. AND... Analise... stop dressing up your little brother in your dresses. Once was funny but everyday is getting a little old!

    LOL Thanks for the smile! I do this, use whatever words they say....i.e. "Just one more game mom!" Me: "I'll give you one more game!" along with 'the look' haha most of the time I never make any sense!
