Is Sexercise a valid workout?

Aerobics - Low Impact - 3 minutes
LOL.....too funny!0 -
No. Jeez, this is almost as bad as people who log 'cooking preperation'
The whole purpose of logging exercise is to feed your body enough food for it to run. If you need the 'excuse' to eat more food, just up your bloody limits. Or if you find you're hungry, EAT. It won't kill you to go over your calories.
OMG people actually post "cookig prep"?
This, though....this. No. I mean--to answer the question: "Yes". But no.0 -
Aerobics - Low Impact - 3 minutes
3 mintues?! Low impact?!
Well I get sweaty and out of breath...and if you do some more...difficult positions, you definately work out your inner core! Try reverse cowboy! Oh and definately try for longer than 3 minutes...
Ha!! Agreed!!!0 -
I never log it but it is definitely a workout. The bf jokes that he will help me with my cardio anytime I want to
Hahahahaha! My man says the same thing. He wondered why I spent money on a gym membership when all I have to do is call him to get a workout in! :blushing:
But, to answer OP question - no, I don't log it. I'm one of those people who only logs the exercise that I specifically do for the purpose of exercise.0 -

No it's not. I mean, come on, are you only doing it to burn calories?
Some people on here seem to clean more than they need to as well. Just Sayin'
My diary reveals that I pretty much only clean once every six months.
No, you cannot come over.0 -
"Baby, can you strap my HRM for me? Thanks sexy... yeah, put it right there. Oh, you know how to really put it on a girl..." :huh:0
-
You had sex before, you have sex now. Only log new activities. I'd only log it if I were celibate before starting weight loss program, or if you only get it in once in a blue moon. I'm married so......0

OK OK....2mins 45 secs...I included the 15 seconds it takes for me to roll over and start snoring...sheesh :smooched:0 -
It has to be in my best interests if my wife sees that sex burns 2000 calories an hour
So if you could all perpetuate please....
I spit my coffee out everywhere!0 -
if you're THAT worried about the in and out (calories, people!!), a little post-coital chocolate should sort it! No logging, that's just weird!0
-

Hell no!! No way I'm putting on a HRM while getting my freak on!!!0
-
I consider it to be a workout. I sweat just as much as my workout, no matter how little or how much. Just like I log my food, I log every little bit that goes in my body and I log every little thing i do. Some people like to keep complete track of what they do, what they eat and etc.0
-
ROFLMAO
So funny!0 -
Well said.0

Can I log 30 minutes on the pot trying to pinch out a loaf while I’m constipated as an ab workout?0
-
Loving that someone asked this! Also loving that people have got so riled up about it!
I say log what you like, only you know what you've done and how it affected you  Far as Im concerned you can only benefit by logging any exxxtra effort :blushing:
Also, for those people who dont think you get any exercise benefits...you're doing it wrong! Come on people put your backs into it!
I say stay away from the chocolate body paint and and you'll feel the benefits.
Although, Im a larger lass so what do I know?? Id be tempted to log food prep calories as well...I get out of breath grating cheese :noway:
Happy...ummm...bouncing people0 -

Only if there's grunting involved :smokin:0 -
Aerobics - Low Impact - 3 minutes
That is awesome. I am trying to work my way up to that but it is tough.0 -
Sex does not burn that many calories
Consider it a bonus I guess. You would be only cheating yourself trying to count it
Im sorry but i will have to respectully disagree, here is my findings on the subject

Woman on top, man on bottom
(Many women find that in addition to its inherent sexual possibilities, this position affords a better view of the clock.) 25 calories

As you can see just like any good workout it depends on effort, stamina, and outside factors. Sex is a work out.0 -
I dunno, we have 4 kids so each time it's generally a pretty good workout. 4 times getting up to crack open the door to tell them to stop knocking on the door. 3 times to get dressed to go and see what one of them is crying about, 2 times getting dressed to go see what that huge thud downstairs was; and a few times finding ear plugs because hearing "Dad, Dad, Dad, Mommm, Mooommmm" really throws you off your game.
;-)0 -
dude, TMI and way too much thought involved on that one. Stopped being funny about halfway through.
Edit: to the super long post not the one above mine. that was cute and I know how you feel.0 -
Being divorced and not having a boyfriend     it will definately be a workout the first few times I get lucky again.:blushing: But I am not sure I would log that. I do log my cleaning over the weekend whereI literally break a sweat and it takes two hours to sweep, mop, swiffer, do dishes by hand, scrub bathroom, do lanudry and hang on line, change litter box, and dust. I sweat doing my cleaning and don't when I work out so I think it's a credible workout considering it's not daily.0

Don't forget the other old favourite....'it's good for the skin' :blushing:
And an anti-depressant:blushing:0 -

Now hold on there, I was going to bribe my wife with an extra snack!
I'm sorry but cooking and sex are too completely different things...yes cooking prep is not exercise...but if your sex is as dull as chopping an onion...I suggest you get yourself some toys oh yeh and...good response!0 -
I'm kinda embarrassed to admit this.....
But I wore my HRM when I had sex a few months back (to see really if I was burning anything) and well you realize that when your heart rate gets to a certain point you ARE burning calories. That *session* I actually burned 130 calories! Of course I was doing all the work (which I don't mind) and I got something out of it besides pleasure. I burned off my snack for the day!
Just saying....depends on how much you put into it. I like sex when it is intense and everyone is sweating. (hey...just being honest)0 -

I consider it a bonus, not worth logging though!0

As you watch the calories adding up, 20, 30, 40 etc. be careful not send the wrong message by shouting "69! 69!"0
