I'd stick with a small burger and fries. When places that serve crap food try to make the crap healthier it usually just gets crappier.0

the southwest salad with grilled chicken is sooooooo good!0
-
the number 1, supersized.
with a diet coke - of course!
But just eat what is within your macros and you should be good. I am just unsure as to why you "have to" eat there.0 -
If I HAVE to eat at McDonalds I eat a parfait or a fruit and walnut salad and a bottled water.0

I actually really like the Southwest Chicken Salad. If you get the grilled chicken you can totally "afford" to keep all the toppings and the yummy dressing--under 400 calories, with dressing and cheese? Heck yeah!

I personally love the grilled chicken wraps with honey mustard. Those are amazing!!! Before I started this sight I ate at McDonald's quite a bit and I would have a large mocha frappee (my weakness) and whatever else I decided I wanted. If I have to go there. I get a honey mustard grilled chicken snack wrap and a really small mixed berry or strawberry banana smoothie.0

DO NOT GET THE GRILLED CHICKEN! TO make them not stick to the grill they are slathered in 6 tablespoons of margarine.

IF YOU JUST HAVE TO, GET THE SIDE SALAD $1.00 AND ADD A GRILLED CHICKEN BREAST FOR $1.50 Doesn't taste too bad. Oh and balsamic vinegar, w/no croutons! That's all!0

It depends on what your goals are.
You could eat a salad at home or your work before going there.0 -
I gotta agree with most people, in my opinion the best thing I have found about being dedicated to this site is you have a lot more freedom in eating what you like. You just have to hold yourself accountable. The dressing is the killer on the salads though0
-
I'd rather eat my own elbows ...
but i guess the southwest chicken salad w/ lime and no salad dressing ::shrug::
But what's the macro breakdown on your elbows?
ALL LEAN PROTEIN BABY!!! Hurahhh!!0 -
I agree, do the chicken (or whatever) and skip the fries0

if you are going for fast food burgers could you at least go somewhere with better options? Five Guys? IN and Out?
Its not that McDonalds is bad its just that if you are going to blow all those cals you should make them as tasty as possible.
in fact ive only had fast food twice since last summer. although it tastes ok i dont like wasting any cals on it.0 -

Not true.0 -
I ate it for lunch! I had a fish filet sandwich, and a parfait. It was great!0

Kid's meal. Seriously.0

Grilled chicken sandwich with no sauce and some apples along with an unsweetened iced tea is not too bad.0

I am a sucker for McD's. I like to get a double cheeseburger, a hot and spicy chicken, small fries and a small sprite.
But, that's like 1,000 calories, so don't get that unless you've got a big workout planned tonight.0 -
I usually get 2 double Quarter pounders with cheese, 20 McNuggets - salad - no fries - diet coke or water.
LOVE MCD - :drinker:
Only on free day!0 -
I always get 1 grilled (not crispy-HUGE cal difference) ranch chicken wrap (270 cal), fruit and walnut salad (don't eat the walnuts-It says 210 cal but the walnuts are probably close to half of that alone) and a large diet coke (0 calories). Yay!!! Approximately less than 400 calories!)0

Would you like any sauce with that? ROTFL!!!!:laugh:0 -
I would fall back on the recommendation from The Zone -- get two cheeseburgers and put them together (throwing away one set of buns). Barry Sears says it's in The Zone ( balanced carb and protein) if you care at all about that, but it's going to be higher in fat and lack any micronutrients... but it's MacDonalds, so that's pretty much a given. I like following The Zone proportions because I feel like it keeps my blood sugar from spiking too badly and I'm not so hungry all the time when I'm trying to reduce my caloric intake.0

Grilled chicken wrap with no cheese or sauce. 190 calories and 14 g of protein.

get one of their fruit and granola parfaits and then a sandwich of your choice w/o bun. turns out not to be so bad. have fun!!0
-
So what you're say is that you have NO other choice? It's going to be crammed down your throat? SMH...0

Anything you want....It's your life. For crying out loud.0

Yup not true.
I unfortunately worked there for 5 years. --- and surprisingly that's when I was at my lowest weight, and yet I ate there almost everday when I was working there... :indifferent:0 -

Not true.
I worked there. They are put on the grill in a little ring, the ring has a cover with a little funnel on it. They pour water in the funnel. The end. No oil except what might already be there from the burgers.0 -
Ditto the grilled chicken bacon ranch salad. Insteda of ranch I get low lite asian sesame dressing. I would also get a plain sundae with nuts or an ice cream cone.0
