OK, now I really got it. Here's my ride, it was a combination birthday/Mother's Day present last year.

Found a pic of my 1986 SR300. . . completely stripped, and rebuilt (including powder coat) with SRAM Apex.

You too can learn How to Build a Bike in two easy steps:

    Step 2

19lbs. Not bad for classic aluminum and fairly standard 32 spoke wheels.

    My bastardized tri/road bike
    2012-07-01132827.jpg

    why bastardized? just curious :)
I caught some grief on a previous post about putting road bars on a tri bike, but until I lose the gut it is hard to breathe in the "aero" position.
BTW if you don't mind my asking how much did your bike set you back? I bought mine used and have about $400 in it ($300 for bike then $100 for shifters and having them and the bars installed) and wonder if it's a good deal.

So far about 1050. Had to replace the cassette and buy new tires, which are currently on the way :). But from what I've been told I got a good deal considering the carbon fiber frame alone with no components is worth about a grand

That's a gorgeous Madone. This is my Trek 2.1. She is my Sexy B!tch. Also a gift from my parents.

I also have a 7.5fx but it's kind of my red headed step child when I compare it to my SB.

These threads seem to die quickly on MFP, for some reason. They don't make it "easy" to post pics here, for one. Now if you started a rate the person above you, that could go on forever.

    Oh, FYI

For those that don't know (I make no assumptions): for the images that seem to be "cut off", just "right click" the image and choose "open image in new tab" (or similar).

That way you can see all my bikes in splendid 5 megapixel glory. Har har.

My bike is in my profile - Cannondale Jekkyl - but I don't know much about it. Only thing I know is that I love to ride it. :)
