The recipe for the best salad is

    Bagged Dole Extra Veggie Mix
    Baby Carrots
    Broccoli florets
    Cucumber
    Oscar Mayer Southwestern Chicken Strips
    Crunchy Jalapeno strips
Bolthouse Farms Salsa Ranch Yogurt Dressing

that sounds yummy! How does the dressing taste? Does it taste like light dressing? I cannot stand Light Ranch!

My very, very simple favorite: Organic baby spinach, organic strawberries, grilled chicken breast, Walden Farms sugar-free balsamic vinaigrette - minutes to prepare (I grill my chicken on a George Foreman grill ) and super flavorful!

I usually eat a salad every day for lunch.

The lettuce is usually chopped romaine (without all the cabbage and carrots- just lettuce)

Then I add a big handful of raw baby carrots.

    Sliced onion.

A teaspoon of chili garlic sauce (boost metabolism)

Tyson chicken breast strips- 6 oz of chicken is 200 calories, 42 grams of protein.

and this dressing: http://bolthouse.com/our-products/dressings/yogurt-dressings I really like the Ranch. It's only 45 calories per serving and it is delicious.

The whole salad with an orange for a snack mixed in around 3:00 is absolutely satisfying and it's only 350 calories.

My favorite salad is one I make up at home (including the vinaigrette).

    Red leaf lettuce
    goat cheese
    blackberries
    spiced pecans
    green onion
    blackberry/honey/balsamic vinaigrette

It's so amazing. I can't get enough of it.

I don't know of any ranch recipes but there's a brand that sells yogurt based ranch! It's gluten free, and 45 calories for 2 tbs. It's a little tangier than full fat ranch but doesn't taste like other low fat ranches I've had.

I like to put avocado on my salads - either just as chunks or mushed up with a little water as a dressing. I always add carrots and cucumbers too! I don't get super adventurous with my salads.

    My ideal salad would include:

    Romaine Lettuce
    Baby Spinach
    Grape Tomatoes
    Red Onion
    Cucumber
    Shredded Carrot
    Yellow Pepper
    Sliced (not pickled) beets
    Artichoke Hearts
    Peas
    Blanched Broccoli Florettes
    Black Olives
    Sliced Strawberries

Toppings, depending on my calorie budget, might include sunflower seeds, raisins, croutons, and/or shredded cheddar

For dressing, I usually do Light Balsamic (or Raspberry Walnut) Vinegarette, but my favorite dressing is a good Blue Cheese.

My current favorite is romaine (or baby spinach), red grapes (halved), roasted pecans or walnuts, feta, dried cranberries and sherry or raspberry vinaigrette. (Usu. with chicken). Yum! I love a little fruit thrown in there and always some nuts or seeds.

I'ven been liking my tomato and cucumber salad. With some chopped onions as well.
Then I add the usual spices: pepper, salt, vinegar, olive oil and oreganos.

Really simple. I'm not a big fan of too complicated salads.
