I am starting my 10th week of pregnancy, and I have 10x as many stretch marks as you. I think you are beautiful. I also think motherhood is beautiful, even if you're not "perfect" after giving birth.

Love yourself hon. Let your husband love you too.

To the OP - your are minor, they won't show in a few more months.

That tiger stripes picture annoys me, I wouldn't care about them if mine looked like that, but mine look NOTHING like that. They are 1000 times worse, and the skin is all stretched and loose and not attached to anything.

My fiance doesn't notice them on me.

You are a lucky girl! I just took a look at your stretch mark pics and was suprised to see very minimal stretch marks! Now imagine stretch marks that start at you left hip bone and go all the way to your right hip bone . Now imagine those marks drawing lines all the way up to just below your bust line. That is what my stretch marks are like... It used to bother me but not any more ! Now I joke about it and tell my kids sthech marks are so I have the option of putting you back where you came from when you miss behave ! This results is grotesque facial gestures and ugghhh MOM! ( they are preteens now)
Relax about your post pregnancy body and enjoy your new baby .time really does make them less noticable the redness fades.

My sister is 5"3 and 100 pounds... even SHE has stretch marks. She's never been over weight.

In short, EVERYONE has/will get stretch marks. It's apart of life. I don't even notice them on other people, I barely even notice yours! They will fade with time! Don't worry about it.

I have stretch marks around my shoulders and armpit and some on my quads from gaining muscle. It used to piss me off, but I now I kind of like them. It's a sign that I'm doing something right...I earned them. As long as they stay there though...not very visible.

one of the hottest guys on MFP has stretch marks and he is still very attractive in my eyes (and many other women).

I have stretch marks and if someone thinks I look gross in my bikini then that is THEIR problem not mine.

OP - I wish mine looked like yours!! Mine start at my knees and finish just under my boobs and then are also under my arm pits. Some around my knicker line are over an inch wide!! I have got used to them over the years and my Hubby has never commented in them and someone elso thought they were lines where my jeans where too tight!!

I'm 33 and have had stretch marks since I was 10. I still have yet to accept them.

I did spend the $40 for Mederma but it's not meant for old stretch marks, so I now have an expensive lotion...LOL!
  • I have them on my lower hips, and the inside of my thighs. Because I went from 5'2 to 5'8 in less than a year and a half. They're silver-y looking now, I don't even notice them.

I also have some on my boobs.
  • My girl is my tiger. Bad kitty! tiger-stripes-edited.jpg

This is exactly what I came to post up.
  • to the OP: I just looked at your pic and your stretch marks are nothing to be ashamed of. If anything, consider them a battle wound. You had a child, you are losing weight and winning this war with your body. So they'll show a little more due to the skin not being pulled tight but that's ok. You're becoming healthy, this is a WIN. And yeah, eventually they'll lose their color and will turn white again. If you still hate them then, maybe consider a tattoo?

I personally am covered in stretch marks from my boobs to my belly, arms, legs... they're everywhere. I had a difficult time with them because I gained weight so fast once I hit puberty. My boobs went from flat to FAB overnight and now they're a lot flatter after nursing my daughter and losing weight and gravity taking it's toll, so they're showing their stretch marks a lot more now, but I don't mind it. I've recently started tanning this summer and I've noticed that the stretch marks on my upper arms won't tan but the rest of the skin does. I LOVE THAT! It makes me anxious to lose more weight and see what will happen when I tan my legs and tummy. I'm looking forward to becoming the tiger and having my pale stripes on my dark skin. Sure, it may be a strange thing to look forward to, but hey. I'm a strange girl.

Own them. Learn to love them. They're a part of you.
