Wheat bread (50 cals/slice) with natural peanut butter (1 tbsp = 95 cals) and sugar free jelly (1 tbsp = 10 cals)!
Just over 200 cals if done right, sounds like a reasonable snack to me!
That's what I do too. Heaven!0 -
I think it's a great snack I make mine with whole wheat bread, all-natural peanut butter (no added sugar or anything), and sugar free fruit preserves. I think it's pretty healthy!

I had PB&J today for lunch Oh so yummy and it's all you really need for a meal although occasionally I will add a 100 cal snack on the side or something. Not bad for you at all unless you eat a double decker XD or more than one lol0

I hadn't really been a PB fan until I discovered Smucker's Sugar Free Preserves. OMG! The bread and PB has only really become a vessel with which to eat the jam! I have actually eaten the jam out of the jar with a spoon! (Good thing I live alone!) It tastes so good for SF, and it does turn off my craving for something sweet!
Unfortunately, only 1 store in my area sells the big (27 oz) jar of Smucker's Strawberry Preserves, so when I shop there, I buy 4 or 5 jars so I always have it on hand! Yum.0 -
Peanut butter and regular jelly on wholemeal bread is healthy for most people.0

I too love PBJ but I am trying to reduce my carbs since I tend to over indulge in all things carb laiden. I make a PBJ protein shake that I swear is the closest thing you could get to the sandwhich
1 cup skim milk
1 cup frozen strawberries (I get a generic costco jumbo bag that ends up being pretty inexpensive per shake)
1 or 2 tablespoons of Peter Pan Whipped Peanut butter. (More quantity for your calories because there is air whipped into)
1 scoop of vanilla protein powder
Blend and enjoy. It is wonderful! Mine average 300 calories which seems high but it has 36 grams of protein which really helps me hit my protein goal.0 -
It's VERY healthy! And yummy!0

I take them to class all the time0

I'm with you, can't stop at a little bit of PB - once I start, I'm done.......and so is the peanut butter:)0 -
mmmm I LOVE a pb jamwich! I like the smuckers "half the sugar twice as much fruit strawberry jam" and I luv the planters nut-trition berry energy mix pb. it has dried cranberries in it. yumm. on really soft white bread with no crusts is my fave0

For most of my adult life I really scoffed at it because of eating it as a child... In fact, I never even loved it as a child. But recently I've been really enjoying it. I mostly eat it on waffles. And I do like the reduced sugar preserves. I'm eating honey peanut butter at the moment and it's way better than plain!0

Does anyone here love PBJ as much as i do? would you consider it a "healthy" snack? i eat it on wheat bread and i will use reduced fat peanut butter unless i get it at work but i use regular jelly. i have yet to try the reduced sugar jelly.
*raises hand* I eat it every morning for breakfast with some fruit or a boiled egg for added protein. I like switching the jelly with strawberry preserves sometimes :-)0 -
I love me some PB&Js I eat it all down. PB you can eat on anything and J you can smear on anyone. But creamy not the crunchy. Ok that's it Im going to raid the office break room for someones.0

I have Peanut Butter everyday as it fills me up, but when I eat it on bread I use the Sugar Free Nature's Own Bread and find it just as good on that as the other bread. I love Peanut Butter.0

PB&J is my go to snack of choice. I use Smuckers Natural PB with Smuckers Simply Fruit strawberry jelly.0

Try PB with lettuce on whole grain bread. You'll never go back to jelly.0

I used to sit with a jar of PB, a jar of Strawberry jam and a big spoon and call it dinner on more than a few occassions!! Now I try to have PB on homemade bread every morning so that I get my "fix"!
I told a friend earlier today that the world would be a happier place if PB was a calorie free food!!0 -
 :drinker:PEANUT BUTTER JELLY TIME!
One of my favorite sandwiches.0 -
PEANUT BUTTER AND JELLY IS LITERALLY MY FAVORITE FOOD OF ALL TIME.
My best friend, who loves to cook and loves to playfully judge me makes fun of me for it all the time. But he's like a wizard at making them, so he just has to deal.0 -
Have it every morning!0

OMG I Pb+J
Sometimes I put some on a spoon, put some honey on it and lick it off (peanut butter)0 -

i actually really love PB2.. its good for pbj sandwiches believe it or not
3 tablespoons of pb2
2 tablespoons smuckers sugar free jam (10 cal per tablespoon)
and 2 slices of nature's valley honey wheat (40 cal per slice)
168 calories and very filling0 -
Love PB .... with or without jelly! Love to use PB for smoothies, sometimes add fruit (instead of jelly in the smoothie), love PB for cooking, eating with celery, eating with a spoon, mixing in greek yogurt, eat with pretzel sticks etc........ High in calories but I find it a good high cal food. I have recently switched to PB2, mix with a little water or almond/coconut milk for PB creamy consistency and spread on toast with low sugar jelly, or for celery sticks. Add to protein shake or smoothie, add to sauces, baking or mix in yogurt. PB2 is so much lower in calories, I don't know if I'll go back to 'regular' PB anytime soon.....0

I don't care much for jelly but I love simply fruit by Smuckers. I really have to limit my bread intake so I will have a teaspoon of peanut-butter and my simply fruit.0

I have PB&J as a pre-gym snack on occasion...I love it..makes me feel like I'm 7 years old again hahahaha. If you're measuring your servings you should be just fine. I remember eating peanut butter out of the jar with a spoon when I was a teenager....haha not okay anymore0
