Let your first time be with a professional. It hurts in a way that you can't imagine.
That said, I've been doing my own (along with brows and armpits) for about a year, but my friend is a licensed esthetician and I was trained by her and I get my loot from her. IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT THE HECK YOU'RE DOING you can do some major damage: burned skin, torn skin, breaking the hair at the surface instead of pulling the root, etc.
However, the PROPER (I say proper because there are a number of waxes out there that just plain suck) supplies to be able to do this at home are not cheap by any means, so if you can't afford to go get it done, chances are you won't be able to afford the necessary equipment.0 -
Or you could just suck it up and pay someone to do it for you....0
