Hi there! This is the October Food Challenge for the group A New Me. You can click on the link to our group here....http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/66680-a-new-me-let-s-get-started Feel free to join our group where you'll find lots of support and motivation!

Please add your name if you are taking part in the October Food Challenge that begins today. The goal of this challenge is to be the closest to zero in your calories during October! So, sticking to your calorie goals.

If the scoring seems okay, we can keep with that, or we can modify it - since we don't really want to be eating excess calories during days if we were under previous days and vice versa.

    If you look at my food diary, the numbers wont' match up because I had to choose the closest to my pizza possible and the calories were off by 80. So I had to do some math. :laugh: Good thing I have calculator!

    Boy, I must have been doing this too fast yesterday. I noticed the math was wrong. My total calories were 1,623, not 1,603. Sheesh. :tongue:

    What does "calories remaining for month" mean?
    It's the running total of how many calories I have left (or went over) for the month. The challenge is to be as close to zero as possible.

    I am definitely going to lose this challenge since I only eat about 1/2 my workout calories - even though I eat peanuts and peanut butter for their extra calories! :tongue:
