I'm a care provider, rancher (pigs and chickens), gardener, and bookkeeper (church and contracting service). I guess my calories burned are sporadic, but I do sleep well at night.

LOL l direct a LARGE before and after school program (175+ kids - K-5th grade) I'm running around for sure all day - our campus is quite large and our space is pretty spread out. I got a FITBIT tracker last month.... and I love it! Easily log 20,000 + steps daily when at work.... I'm off this summer (first time in 40+ years) and I find that I'm not active enough... so I'm going for more walks, hitting the gym in the complex an extra time and going up and down the stairs to meet my goals.. Definitely work is a HUGE factor in our activity...your doing great and the 18th month old will help you make your goal!

I teach 4th grade. So I am up on my feet most of the day. This summer I am working at a teacher supply store until school starts in August. I am constantly on my feet at the store.

Essentially, I get paid a very nice salary to troll the MFP forums when I should be sysadminning

This made me laugh. I'm becoming a troll at the MFP Message boards too.

I'm an account clerk II for the local gov't. I sit all day and pay dept billings. The only time I do any exercise is to get up and walk the hallways to get water or go to the restroom. I should take more advantage of our two breaks but I'm so busy right now it's not funny.

I work in a pub and I start uni in september. Working in the bar I run about daft and I am forever bending up and down and stretching!!

I remember reading somewhere not to factor in any physical activity at work as your body is used to this as your routine. Once your body is used to the movements of your day it won't contribute to any weightloss as your body weight platos. Same problem once you lose a bit of weight, you have to increase your exercise to see more results

I'm in the audiobook publishing industry. Most of my day is sedentary between recording narrators, reading galleys and doing admin stuff on the computer. That said, I've been making a point of moving around more: taking the stairs, and getting up to talk to to people rather than just shooting off an e-mail. At night, I walk the dogs 1+ mile and try to get in a hike on the week-ends. Nothing extreme, I'm still pretty sedentary; but I'm ramping up slowly & surely
