Personality changes as I am losing weight...

So on this journey~ (21 pound loss since 5/12) 39 pounds overall that my personality has changed somewhat. I used to be able to laugh about my weight more- hide behind my weight.

However over the last few weeks, a friend of mine noticed that I have actually become more shy and I have noticed it as well. Almost that I'm scared of who I'm becoming because I have not been here in 25+ years!

I have never been an overweight adult- I have always been morbidly obese or obese. She even said to me when I tried to bail on a girl's night "No-one puts baby in the corner" ~ and some of you might not be old enough to know what that line is from- but Dirty Dancing.

I already have a shy personality- but is is shining more as I lose weight- but when I was overweight I felt I could overcome it with laughing at stuff more...

So- is anyone else trying to figure out their new self or is it just me? I guess where you fit in now?

and if none of this makes since- just ignore it and say that chick is just crazy

I actually think I am the opposite of you! My confidence is way up now, so I don't hide as much. The closer I get to my goal, I feel taller, if that makes sense. Perhaps you need to fight your way to middle ground for now. Laugh girl, it's still good for you!
