Congratulations to everyone! Honestly, while in my mind, I knew I wanted to lose weight to be healthier, I joined MFP because I wanted to buy a regular sized dress.

A little bit of background. This was me at my best friend's wedding in September 2011. I was 242lbs here, give or take.

Started MFP in January 2012 at 235. My goal was to be 199.9 on my wedding day, which was June 2nd, 2012.
Made it to 212 into a size 14W wedding dress. Woot. Small victories.

Still have a little way to go, but very happy and felt beautiful on my wedding day.
To all those on their journey, good luck! You're all beautiful!

You looked stunning and what a beautiful couple you are :flowerforyou:

I'm getting married in October, I'm a short gal with a small frame. Over the holidays I just gave in and stopped working out so I gained some weight and certainly felt it when I put my pants on. I'd like to lose another 6 or so pounds before the big day. My dress is a lace up corset top so it doesn't need fitting luckily and I've gotten back to my heavy weight lifting/cardio routine so I know I can do it ... to be honest the wedding stress is certainly helping at the moment.

Congrats to all on your wedding, upcoming wedding and successes

I, too, am getting married and am looking to shed about 50lbs by next February/March. My wedding is April 13th, 2013, however; my best friend and maid (matron) of honor's wedding is March 16th...

With that said, I have been eating less carbs & sugars, and working out at Jay Johnson's Boot Camp 3x/week for 6 weeks now...I have 6 more weeks left of it, unless I choose to do more! :D

    Good luck to y'all!

I think I'll join in on the fun! my wedding day is set for Nov 16, 2013 and I am beyond excited!!! Congrats to all of you ladies engaged or married! I began losing weight last summer for reasons larger than to look good in my dress, my real goal is to lose weight to be healthy before pregnancies (looking sexy in my wedding dress is just a perk). I've been stuck at my current weight for practically 6 months and I have just started to see the scale moving back down.

This was me at my cousins wedding on NYE 2010. I'm the one in black obviously! My sister is the slim one!!

lost about 2 stone (28lbs) before my wedding August 2011. Unfortunately I stopped swimming and didn't weigh myself after the wedding and put it all back on plus some. But I know I can achieve weight loss and this time it's a lifestyle goal instead of just a goal for one day.

This is my favourite picture from our wedding.
