I weigh myself once a month -- works for me. I focus on my physical health (1500 cal/day and exercise), and my spiritual and emotional health and the weight comes off. By doing it this way I am not in denial about my weight and weight loss, but the focus isn't the scale but a way of life -- in other words I am not on a diet, but finding a path that works for me with food and exercise. I really try to be exact about logging my food every day though because it is really easy to be in denial about calories in/calories out.

I weight myself several times a day. I've read a bunch of different things that say that it's bad for weight loss but oh well.
I'm usually my lowest right when I wake up after i *ahem* use the restroom, and I try to keep that weight in mind throughout the day, but I dont usually record my weight on MFP until Sundays.

Thanks again for all the insight / suggestions! I've decided to weigh in once per week [Sunday] as my 'official' weight. While I may sneak a peek once more mid week, I won't record that number but simply use it as a guide to see how my week is moving along and to get a better sense of how my body fluctuates and what works best for me as far as nutrition and exercise.

I did weigh in today (15 day mark) and am happy to report that while there was an initial bounce back [up], I maintained 12 of the 15lb loss and am now at a 14lb loss, which I believe will stick as it was achieved through eating a consistenly healthy diet since starting.

    Cheers!
