Not even going to read it. Seen way too many people posting here in success stories, and in real life people who have lost plus just skinny people, who eat oatmeal often. People who think one thing would apply to everyone are pretty stupid.

I didn't read the whole post, but all I know is recently I heard someone say....

"No one food will not cause you to fail your goal"

That is why moderation is key. So who cares what he says anyway. I love oatmeal occasionally. lol

Then don't comment in something you're not going to actually read and put an opinion in.

I did read the entire thing, and for the most part this man is putting information about the pros and cons of oatmeal. Taking mainly Quaker oatmeal into consideration. I don't think it's a bad thing to stay informed, and it is nice to try to find things that have both good and bad effects. However he does make some pretty strange comparisons with oatmeal to snicker bar. He doesn't say to avoid oatmeal, in fact he admits that he eats it himself. It's mostly a personal experience with some "facts" thrown in. If it helps people become more aware of what they are eating then it's good. If you read the entire thing then you can see that it's not all fear mongering and hatred towards oatmeal. I applaud his efforts to help others with his own research and experiences.

Why do you care? If you like oatmeal and it fits well into your meal plan, good for you. If he's found that oatmeal isn't something that fits into his eating plan and wants to share that with others, why is it any skin off your nose? Different things work for different people.

I eat oatmeal every day, and I'm not going to stop just because some random guy on the internet claims it's "bad."

I personally think he's stupid. I'm a huge fan of oatmeal as you can tell from my food diary.

The guy has lost heaps of weight doing what works for him so he is not stupid. You are the stupid one that got offended about what he wrote about oatmeal. just eat it if it's working for you.

Just look at the source. It's a blog. Anyone can write a blog. I take those things a serious as anything you can find online :)

He does make a good point, though, do the homework and don't fall for advertising. That goes pretty much for everything.

Excuse me? I can comment on whatever I want to. The link alone tells us what the guy is saying. Who the hell are you to tell someone not to comment?

Never said you would. I'm just saying, I really don't GAF what random strangers write in their blogs about food. It doesn't affect my eating habits.

I don't think you can delete them, moderators might be able to if you ask them. Why would you want to. So you didn't like the comments. It happens people are unpredictable. When you said the oatmeal a guy was stupid I thought that wasn't warranted.

^^^^THIS. I read it and walked away with....Oatmeal is fine for a lot of people. However, those with certain medical conditions should be cautious. Why are we up in arms over this???
