    Wow I had no idea!

I've been using concentrated DHMO as a high-powered stain remover when I wash my clothes for a long time now. I need to call my doctor asap. Thanks for putting this important information out there!

You might want to throw those clothes out. Wearing clothes soaked in DHMO can make you sick.

I agree.... it's basically my entire wardrobe so it's going to be very expensive :grumble:

Better safe than sorry I guess.

I put some in my coffee this morning. I think I may be addicted.

There must be something that can be done. I'm going to the hospital as soon as I leave work. You should go to a rehab clinic right away.

Thank you for sharing this. Im not sure I was aware of this or have ever heard of it before. Will def keep a lookout of this name on the labels of things. Btw, is it labeled or is it like the GMO's where its in it, they just dont have to tell you?

As for the others with snyd and sarcastic remarks, when are you going to realize that just because you dont get sick or fall over dead immediately after ingesting something that it doesnt mean its not bad for you? There is TONS of toxins in our food and everyday living household items that are damaging our health....people just choose to not see it and turn a blind eye and keep believing every single word the FDA says to them.
Sadly you will never see DHMO on a product label.

Well, it does appear on product labels. It's just that there are so many different names for it, just like dairy and wheat products. You just need to know what to look for. The relatively small amounts that most of us consume won't have any long-term ill effects on health. It doesn't have a terribly long half-life and we generally will excrete any excess.

The half-life for DHMO (also known as hydrogen hydroxide) is generally about 1-2 hours in my experience.

I unintentionally ingested less DHMO today. I started experiencing withdrawal effects such as dry mouth and fatigue.

I put some in my lemonade this morning, didn't seem to bother me at all. So many alarmists out there.
Still, people DO need to be informed about this.

    Haha, you're hilarious.

Aww, I thought it was funny.

(But then again, I like bad puns, and pretty much any (non-offensive) joke is funnier than a bad pun.)

This joke is so old, the last time I heard it I fell off my pet dinosaur and broke my stone underwear.

Is this found in food, exercise equipment, beer or pornography? ... if not, I think I'm safe.

    LMAO .... :)

Actualy, somebody died in California some time ago, because of too much DHMO!!! I thing it was a contest! "Hold your Wee for a Wii", or something similar! ... Indeed this DHMO is dangerous stuff!! .. :)

Why is there not bigger awareness and outrage?

    Oh I get it - it's a hoax ;p

It's not a hoax, it's an incredibly good point--call something by its chemical name, and describe its attributes in abstract terms and people get all freaked out. With the right language, you can make anything look dangerous. The point is, people need to stop and think critically about information, just because something is in anti-freeze (or whatever substance), doesn't mean it's toxic.
