Do Gentlemen Really Prefer Blondes?

I think the dumb blonde stereotype is attributable to the idiots who dye their hair really light blonde because they think it will get them more attention, when in fact it just makes them look like a porn star. Which in turn gets them more attention...0

Based on a totally unscientific study (by "study" I mean "all the time I've personally spent at bars, clubs, and parties"), I have to say that it really seems like men do prefer blondes. Whenever I'm out with a blonde friend or a group of girlfriends, the blonde ALWAYS gets the most attention. Always. No matter what her face or body looks like.
My best friend is a blonde and when I'm out with her, I usually end up going home (alone) feeling slightly bad about myself because guys are always attracted to her, wanting to buy her drinks, asking her out, and I get ignored. As far as our personalities go, I'm super outgoing and smiley, love to dance and talk to people, and she's really stand-offish and has a b**** face (she's not a b****, that's just her face, she always looks pissed), and is really uptight about many things. Our facial structures are pretty similar but she has a HUGE nose which I would think would mean bonus points for me, but I swear it's the power of the blonde hair! Or maybe it's the fact that she gives off a b****y vibe? One of my friends says that men LOVE b****es because they seem them as a challenge. Who knows...
Edited because I didn't know the "b" word was forbidden on here.0 -

I'm dyed a ridiculously light blonde and take offense to this. I dye my hair to fit my style, not to attract attention. I assure you I am neither an idiot or a porn star look alike.0 -
Never been a blonde... but they sure do like red heads :blushing:
I fully agree! I've been both, but the redhead totally gets more attention!0 -

That's odd. I have never been hit on by random guys whenever I would go out and my brunette and redhead friends would. Maybe it's because I'm fat and they're gorgeous in comparison. Girls buy me drinks more than guys would, maybe I give off a bi/lesbian vibe that I'm unaware of. >.<0 -
My b/f said that he prefers brunettes, thus he wants me to my dye my hair.
But i don't think the hair color makes a difference, I think how many times I can make him laugh and smile is what makes it.
Also I do not go along with the blonde stereotype of "stupid blondes", I'm in accounting and loving it!
But I do fall very well with "Big Boob Blondie!" as my b/f always calls me that.
But for my preference I like girls with blonde hair better :bigsmile:0 -
My husband always had a thing for brunettes... guess I was *that* good. ;-)0

Funny - when I was younger, I seemed to always attract the swingers. :laugh:0 -

Too funny - I can count the times I've been hit on by a woman on one hand. I guess I give off a very straight vibe? I was going to compare my body and my blonde best friend's body--she's a size 6, I'm a 4, we are the same height, I have more of a thin muscular body, while she looks really thick and muscular (neither of us will ever have the much desired "thigh gap" though). I have a rounder, juicier booty, but she has big boobs, whereas I hardly fill out a B cup. So I guess there's my answer: boobs > booty. :laugh:0 -

You must have misread my post. Women who dye their hair in an attempt to garner more attention are the ones who I don't think highly of, yet as you pointed out you dyed your hair to fit your style, hence you don't fit into the category I described. Don't be so defensive.0 -

Yes, that is not how I interpreted it. But do you really think there are women out there that dye their hair just to get attention? It is more likely that they like the way they look with the dyed hair than that they think it will attract attention. I hope. For the reputation of women everywhere. Lol.0 -

Same here! My hair is dyed white - Im a photographer in two extremely style-oriented lines of work - rock/metal and fashion. Its become part of my style, had white hair for years now - but I did it quietly, slowly over a long period of time, and I did it for myself. I really love it and take care of it and it actually cheers me up on the daily.
But if I dyed my hair white so I could get hot guys... lolololol I would hope I was banished from dates for 7 years as punishment!
Right on.0
