    Oh! But this is not true!

    Flys make maggots which are a wonderfully holistic way of healing infection.
    Also.... Fly saliva has been found to have anti inflamatory and anticlotting properties! Quite beneficial if you ask us science nerds

    Ahhh, finally they do have some use. But I doubt they will ever be useful to me!

    All they do is make me look like a crazy person when shooing them away... I have a fear of flies... especially the noise, thinking about them buzzing in my ear right now is making me cringe.... uugggh.

    If they would JUST sit still....

    If it wasn't for flies and their maggots we would be up to our ears in rotting meat and poop, they also pollinate plants and fruit flies are used to study genetics (among other things) as they reproduce so quickly. So flies are not completely pointless.:smile:

    Now Mosquitos, there is a pointless insect. I loathe and detest mossies. :grumble:

    All those uses are pretty grim... apart from the cats, but I could entertain your cats LorinaLynn if it meant getting rid of flies... *buzzz*
