That I had never seen Batman before tuesday?
Seriously.
I would keep that kind of embarrassing information to yourself if I were you!0 -
There is so much fail in this thread its too sad to bare any longer... How could you not see Batman?! I grew up on the originals! POW! ZONK! BANG!0

Well, I'm banished to the sofa until I watch them, so guess what I'm doing today!!
In all seriousness though, TDKR was epic, and I'm glad I saw it. I was pretty "meh" about Batman before, I didn't get the whole rich boy in a mask and cape fights baddies. And frankly, I still disaprove of the cape. But I now want bat-babies.0 -
If the actor hadn't died, I think public opinion would be different.
I agree about the hype but not Ledger's acting. Overall he was underrated through his career. Not only his death but also the fact that Dark Knight was a crime movie rather than a regular Batman movie (that focuses on Batman/Bruce Wayne) put him on the spotlight.0 -

Banished, lol Enjoy them! It's good to venture into territories out of your comfort zone once in a while.
Rich boy fighting baddies = Tony Stark but he is also not as shallow as he seems
Bruce Wayne is Batman's daytime cover and mostly that. Barely existing beyond that as Batman has the most influence on his character because of traumatic past, unlike Superman who is more distinctly and genuinely split between Clark Kent, Superman and Kal-El.0 -
Tell him during coitus. You can tell us anything during coitus and we'll agree/accept.0

If I did this my boyfriend would dump me! He likes me cause I'm nerdy. :glasses: lol0

Tony Stark.. I guess that makes me a hypocrite, because I loved Iron Man. He, however doesn't have a cape or pointy ears, and is a genius to go along with it.0

That's my problem!! When I told him I'd never seen inception I got a straight faced "We're done." and he walked away!! :sad:0 -
Just so you know, Batman is supposed to have genius-level intellect but it doesn't really show in most of the films, but it will in the comics.
As to the debate over which Joker is best, I will always say this: Heath Ledger gave an incredible performance, but he was NOT the Joker. For me, it's Mark Hamill all the way, even though he only has a voice role. :')0 -

That's Robert Downey Jr's playboy charms I'm not sure if you would enjoy the Tony Stark especially in the old animated series. In my eyes they're on par in terms of intellect (despite forever having the biggest crush on Batman). They have completely opposite demeanor, though.
I used to wake up at 6 am at the weekend (I was 8) just to watch Batman: The Animated Series (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lEx9r5enZsk) -.-. It was probably aired at a more convenient time in the US.0 -
I guess they must be similar intellectually - I recall in Iron Man and Avengers Tony Stark had an energy source similar to Wayne's in TDKR.
I loved Spiderman as a kid, comics and all.0 -
Just tell him. He will get a chance to watch it with you. If he likes batman he will want to watch it with you.
I don´t understand why you would be afraid to tell him you haven´t seen any of the movies...well I haven´t and I honestly I have no desire to watch them.0 -
The guy in the wheelchair is Dr. Xavier.
Oh...wait...0 -
Just tell him, it's just a movie. I've never seen ANY of the Batman movies and I don't intend to because it doesn't interest me. Seriously just tell him.0

Yes, like Kurstee said in Nolan's movies it seems like everything Batman has is mostly developed by Fox (Morgan Freeman's character). That's mostly a shortcut to prevent the movie from dragging too long. In comics he does most of his toys. How can you not love a man in black cape?
Spiderman is pretty young compared to most first generation comic heroes. Genius, good looking, sarcastic, entertaining and always the loser in romantic relationships with inner conflicts makes him the perfect boy next door!0 -
Lie. Tell him you've never seen it, but you always wondered....If you don't like the movie, just fake it. Yeah, there are people that actually don't like it.0
