I definitely don't see anything wrong with flirting on MFP, but all that annoys me is when people flirt a ton in the forums, taking over a thread and completely derailing it ... I mean, I've done it before, but unintentionally (who doesn't get drawn into things from time to time ...).

It's certainly OK to do so, but keep it to your friends list That way you're also (presumably) not being a creep.

I have several friends who have people with whom they flirt endlessly and vice versa, and most of it seems as though it's just going through the motions, flirting because it's expected, and none of it means anything, and then it's just on to the next friend to whom they'll say the same thing. I don't know, I try to limit my flirting, but even that gets me into a lot of trouble :grumble:

Aside from the argument of "this is chit-chat, fun, and games section", heres another thing for you.

As per the admins of this site, along with the owner/creator, as long as you're within boundary limits of the guidelines, there is no need to tell somebody else what this site is for. YOU cannot dictate somebody what the owner say is a perfectly decent way to use this site.

I have personally seen wedding proposals done on this website and i've only been a member for a few months. Please don't try to tell others how to use this site (unless ofcourse its something against the guideline in which case feel free to report, rather than bashing somebody).

I myself donot enjoy how many posts I see every hour that are off topic but once again, this isn't my site. I'm not gonna tell you "if you don't like it, don't see it" because thats a BS argument too but please, be tolerant to what others use this site for

What taunto said, in addition to, if you're married, in a relationship, not comfortable flirting, dont want to flirt with the person coming on to you, have no sense of fun and can't take a suggestive joke, find something creepy, etc etc, just ask the person to stop. Say, Hey guy and/or gal and/or undead necromancer, this isn't my cup of tea, kindly stop. If they don't, there's a handy report button, and possibly a block feature, although I'm unsure of that one since I've never had to use it. One of the bonuses of being a larger girl, not many creepers
