    Confession....
I'm going over my carbs today. :ohwell: I have been really hungry today. I also am really struggling with cravings. I hope it's just a day and I'm feeling stronger tomorrow. I think girly time is getting close so that may be why. I noticed a shift downward after eating Mexican last night. My body is wanting to go back to it's old ways. Die, old habits!
    MM

I had a really high carb day today, too. I'm blaming the weather (cold, rainy, windy and dark). I just had to go to the drugstore, and it was really, really hard to pass up the candy bars. (but I did.)

Man, I was so busy I hardly ate today. I had cereal for breakfast, and a cup of tomato soup (with asiago croutons) for lunch. No snacks. I thought I'd be super hungry for dinner, and I knew I had plenty of calories left - so I got a 'burrito bowl' (no tortilla) w/black beans, rice, cheese, grilled tofu, lettuce, tomato, and guac. Totally yummy - but I couldn't even finish it. We went to a show tonight ('Dracula' by a group here called PUSH Physical Theatre - the best I can describe it is dance meets mime meets, well - physical theatre. Very cool stuff.) and I got some coffee and considered the desserts, but decided I still wasn't really hungry. Weird.

Congrats on your conclusion, V! Maybe you and MM are eating carbs in preparation for Mary's ride. Good luck tomorrow, Mary! Did you have spaghetti?

I still need to do my pushups, but the cat on my lap has a different opinion.

    edited to add:
It felt a little Johnny Cochrane, but I keep thinking it, so it must be catchy.

I did have spaghetti -such a traditionalist. I'm ready to go for my ride.

I'm bummed - a yoga workshop I wanted to attend was canceled. Now I'm deciding between going to two different teachers in Dallas (one in Nov, one in Jan) or a long workshop in Dallas in Jan. Not that I'm sure we have the money, but I was planning $200 for the workshop that was canceled. Oh, and there isn't anyone on the horizon for Austin :grumble:

ready to be butt sore, boogaloo!

Yeah, that's it, CP. . .sympathetic carb loading! That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.

Today, I'm trying to work up the nerve to try the new boxing class at the gym. Classes always make me nervous, because of the social aspect. I'm very "I just want to exercise, not socialize" at the gym. That's probably something I should work on.:ohwell:

I'm also excited because my husband comes home from the tour dates today! Then, after (maybe) an hour at home, he heads straight to a rehearsal. (I'm glad he works, but sometimes I don't want to share him:tongue: ) Tonight is a social occasion, as a friend of mine is having a CD release. My goal for that is to stop after two glasses of wine.

I'm still trying to let the fact that I submitted a draft sink in. I've only been working on the research and writing for a year and a half. When I was complaining about how hard it was/how long it took the other day, my husband said "well, I know, it's not like you're getting a doctorate or something." He's a genius at putting things into perspective.

    Move forward boogaloo. :flowerforyou:

V, hope you social event goes well tonight and I'm glad your hubby is going to be back today!
Mary, how did your ride go? I think I need to get a bike and ride so I can eat and eat. lol
CP, did you manage to move the cat and get your push ups in?
Well, in spite of not eating so well the last couple of days I lost another pound! Makes 3! Sounds funny to be excited about three pounds. I'm just so glad to see the number going down! 4 more and I'll be back in the 140's!
I don't know how many cals I burn in swim class since I am not doing much. So I don't think I am going to bother counting it. I need to do my push ups today. I'm just really not that motivated anymore. Except when I do them and see the muscles.
Alex is "mad" at me because I didn't leave the Target parking lot by way of the hill and stoplight. He's not talking to me now and I can tell he's on the verge of a mood. The things that set him off...sheesh! It's crazy! I should have nice looking calves from walking on eggshells all the time. lol
    Tip toes boogaloo!

Nope, I failed against the kitty will to sleep last night. But, I just did my pushups today. We also went on a little hike earlier - the leaves are SO beautiful right now.

That is so great about your draft, V! And nice going on the weight loss, MM.

    Lovely autumn boogaloo! :flowerforyou:

    Update:

Class was VERY challenging. Like 97% max HR several times challenging.

Oh, and I faint. (I don't think I've mentioned before. . .neurological issue) Luckily, I'm old enough now so that I know the "hey, you might be about to keel over" signs from my body. Twice I had to stop, because I was about to drop. Fun, though. Something about hitting things that releases amazing endorphins. I will probably once again be cursing the nice lady's name tomorrow (there were jump squats:noway: ouch.)

dislike wind : predicted: dead in the morning, 5-10mph in the afternoon, real: gusts of 18 mph by 11am - about the time we turned right into it :grumble: .
also, I swear they managed to find a bike ride that was an uphill loop  - I guess I don't remember the downs that much.
but even with all that, and some redneck port a' potty tipping going on at the 2nd rest stop (happened overnight, so there wasn't a place to go at the second rest stop!) - it was a good ride, really, it was a beautiful day.

Burned just 400 fewer calories than last weekend (20 miles shorter, if that gives you an idea what the wind does to you) I post some pictures on FB.

Feeling ok today - a slight soreness in the hamstrings, but nothing to stop me biking today.

We are: riding to the store, doing the Buddy Walk (it supports down syndrome and it's only a mile) at noon, and seeing Spring Awakening tonight. I hope to get some stretching in between the walk and play. I think soon we are going to have too many t-shirts, if we keep this up  . The next ride isn't until December and requires a trip to San Antonio (unless I sneak in one before that!). If the weather is good, it should be really fun - you go from one mission to another - art, history, and exercise!

Also, I need to return to yoga. Only got 3 sessions in this week.

    More beautiful weather, boogaloo!

    Hi pebbs,

Great job on the ride, again, Mary. I love that sign in your picture: "Way to go, cyclist." (and also in your pic. . .those are most definitely the defined calf muscles of a cyclist. )

Today is a scheduled day off, but I went for a walk (it's sunny, and soon that will be rare). Now I'm off to buy bathroom cleaning supplies (um, hooray?)

I drank vodka tonics at the party instead of wine. Stopped at two, which was hard, because people buy them for me when I'm out with my husband. I told the server to start bringing me water with a lime, so it still looked the same. Weird social pressures, huh?

    Nothing to report today...for change.
I can tell lady time is coming. :grumble: We are either going out tonight or tomorrow night for cheesecake...I think. Unless we find out we don't have any money.
Tomorrow is one of the big days in the adoption process! Filing our paperwork! People keep asking me. What if you get a referral and the money isn't there to go? Well, I don't know, but I believe it is going to be there! I just know somehow it will all work out!
Feeling the don't wannas. I am not sleeping good and I'm pretty sure it's because of the medicine. I haven't had any other problems with it so that's good. I could really use a good night of sleep though.
    Sleepy time boogaloo!
