Hi!
I'm 5' 9"
HW: 164
SW (when I joined MFP): 156
CW: 144
GW: 1400 -
I am 5'9 almost 5'10 and aiming for 180 I look really good at that size plus I have a ton of muscle.0
-
im currently 5'7.5 and weighing 143.5 pounds (at least thats what the scale said this morning) my goal is 130 ((Its going to take a **** ton of commitment but i want it ))0
-
i would like to be under 165 so bmi health calculators cannot call me "overweight."
as of now my bmi is 30.4, which down right sucks.0 -
Great thread to read others thoughts... I don't have a definite weight, OK well maybe I do, it used to be 135 (um...yea I've been told that's unrealistic but that number has always stuck in my head for whatever reason) but I think if I had to pick one it'd be more like 150?
That still sounds heavy to me but I know it's mental so please no one be offended because that's not my intention in the slightest.
I think what I've decided is seeing how my body likes 160 or so and go from there. It's hard to NOT pick a number but I also want to be realistic and am doing this to be healthy not to be a certain clothing size.
For me it will likely come down to body fat % since I don't think #'s mean that much regarding lbs. We're all built so very differently and I don't want to stall my progress by holding fast to a particular #.0 -
I don't have a goal *weight*. I just want to get to my 'happy place'... I gauge my success on how look and feel.
I'm 5'8.5", large-framed hourglass. I have always been buxon and curvy.
Not long after I was diagnosed with PCOS and hypothyroidism, I was at my highest weight: around 250lbs and wearing a size 18/20. Today I'm in a comfortable 16. I still would like to tone up more and lose another dress size or two. (My goal is a size 12/14.) I realize that, even when I reach my goal size, I'll still be considered "plus sized"... I don't really care as long as I'm healthy and happy with the way I look. :-)
I disregard the scale and only weigh myself once every few months to make sure I'm eating enough for my weight, and to keep my HRM measurements accurate. I run and Zumba 4-5 times a week, eat back my exercise calories, and am getting stronger and healthier by the day! YAY!0 -
I love tall ladies.0

5'8" aiming for 167 to start and will pick an UGW when I get there.0
-
I'm 5'8 exactly but I appear longer and taller. My goal was 125 but at 129 I started to look super skinny and I prefer a more toned muscular look. So my new goal is unknown. But I'm thinking 131-134lbs depending on my body fat and definition.0

I'm 5'8
Goal weight is a fit 130-135.0 -
I'm 5'8" and my current weight is 112 pounds, but I'm hoping to maybe get to 120 eventually with muscle gain, though the thought of that scares me right now, I know it would be the healthiest thing to do.0

I am either 5'7" or 5'8"
SW: at least 265
CW: 149
LW: 144
GW: 130-140 (probably 135)
I apparently have a huge rib cage.
My body tends to hover around 150.
I am smaller now than what I was in high school.
Probably even middle school.
Honestly, I would be happy with 145-150 if I could drop this remaining stupid body fat.0 -
oops... double posted.0

6'0'' Goal weight 180 lbs to 200 lbs0

I'm 5'8" and my weight goal is 130. I'm currently 152.0
-
5'8 Goal 120 pounds. I have a small frame. Anything over 130 and I look chubby. Current 152. I know a girl my height who was 115 and she looks perfect so I think I'll look amazing at 120.0

I'm just a hair shorter than 5'8" and have a "mesomorph"-type body (big shoulders, slightly more muscle mass than others). While anything below 160 lbs definitely looks "healthy," I'm shooting for anywhere from 140-150. In that range near 140 people start asking me how I'm feeling and offer me food (lol), so I guess that means trending toward 140 I'll have to adjust where necessary.0

I am 5' 8", started out early June @ 220, cw 194, gw 165. Don't remember ever weighing less than 175. Mostly just want to be in healthy BMI range. Moving from obese to overweight was a great feeling!0

Ok LOVE this thread.
I am 5'7"
HW: 254 (2/9/12)
CW: 157-162 (depends on time of the day, I swear I always go back down to 159 minimal); last metabolic test shows me at 32% body fat
GW: 150 (but secret head goal is 135-140)
I think I am big boned... I have size 11 feet (dang trannies take all of my shoes. I ain't talking stuff about them, just let me have some shoes too sigh lol)
I love that site someone shared, http://www.mybodygallery.com/index.html .... makes me feel like omg I do look "normal".
Good luck to everyone on their goals!0 -
I am 5' 8", at 179 now, and my goal is 165. i have a somewhat muscular build and have always weighed more than comparative friends, even though I was smaller. 165 feels comfortable, but when I get to 165, I will re-evaluate & might go to 145.0
-
I'm 5'9 and shooting for 140. Just started so this seems like a daunting task, and right now I have set a small goal of 20 pounds in 10 weeks (I have a personal trainer 1x a week for the next 10 weeks).0

I am 5'8" and turning 45 at the end of the month. When I was in my 20's I weighed under 120 lbs. A bag of bones. Then I discovered white bread, white rice and all the wrong carbs and I shot up to 160 lbs in the early 90's. I then got back down to 135 lbs. After having 5 children , little exercise, eating once again the wrong carbs I shot up to about 10 lbs. then another 10 and so on, so I am now 185 lbs. My goal is to to in a healthy body fat range, so if it happens that I am still 180, but healthy I will be very happy with that, but if I can be around 150 and a healthy body fat percentage I would be happy with that too. Anything under 150 for me would be too light. I like meat on my bones and I want to keep my real boobs!0
