Not much to report. Did a spinning class last night - that really gets me sweating! Tomorrow is weigh in day. Is it wrong that I'm kind of excited about that? I did well this week and I want to see my progress!0 -
I got in 22 minutes on the eliptical ( before the guys got home) and level 3 of the shred (while hubby made dinner). I was exhausted after, but stayed up long enought to watch Rocky IV before going to bed. Not sure what I will do tonight might be my Wii0

taradise - I want to try a spin class one of these days when I can work it in - they are morning classes at the club so I'd have to get the ok from my boss and pre-plan it.
Did my strength class last night today is a 2 mile run and 1 mile walk (my easiest run day)

Hey guys. :flowerforyou: Haven't posted in a while. I've been having a hard time and I am so irritated with myself. :grumble: I did *really* good with food and exercise last week and gained .4 on my Saturday weigh-in. :explode: I know it's not much, but I was hoping for at least a 2 pound loss! I FELT like I'd lost!!
I looked at everything I'd done and as far as I could tell, I'd done everything I should to yield a loss.
So, this week I've been really discouraged. I did okay yesterday and then this morning I had my cereal and sugar free chocolate pudding ............ and two pieces of pizza that were calling my name. I didn't even heat them up. And, they did absolutely nothing for me. I just enjoyed the taste. I wasn't even hungry. I think that's what I like ... the taste of things!
I had a 100-calorie bag of popcorn later this morning. And two pieces of Weight Watchers string cheese. In addition to everything I have planned for food today, I have an extra 520 calories to work off this evening. :grumble: I know I can do it, I just wish I didn't have to ... I'd rather workout and then have extra calories to eat.
Pity party at my place. :frown:0 -

OK, OK...no more pity parties here people! Let's do something about it! Leigh - you may be frustrated with yourself but think about it your mindset is to work it off - not just sulk about it - be proud of that - yep we need to watch our choices in what we eat but come on - be proud of what you do right too.
As far as food goes - I am pretty much staying in my calories but I seem to be off in sodium everyday....hopefully not hurting too much but man I think the only way you can stay under seems to be eating totally clean and I am so not there...wish I could say I was. I know recently I've been lacking in vegetables - seems like it's always where I can improve. Just not my favorite things.0 -
I did pretty good today except for a light case of the munchies but I got that under control. I will probably hit the Wii when I get home for a fun workout

lcorrell14 - at least your still counting your cals. You identified how many cals you went over and how much you have to do to work it off. I can understand your frustration but you and I both know pizza is not going to fix the problem. You know what you need to do! So take control and take care of business!!
chrissyh - getting in my veggies is difficult for me too. I'm just not a big fan of the little green guys! I do what I can. I also noticed my carbs are a little high. So I decided to tackle that first and reduce the carbs... at least by a little. I domy carbs!
smadag1 - You've been doing great!! Working out and getting the food under control. You should be proud of yourself!! The willpower is returning for you!

Hey all,
Had a bit of sore back last week/weekend, so going to take to lighten up the workouts.
I've been working days this week, so i'm up at 6am, I am so a night owl.. I haven't woke up at 6am for 2 months. I'm not complaining, but I've been on afternoons/midnights for the last 2 months.
Keep it up blue team.
Remember, even if the scale stays the same or goes up, you can still be losing inches.

Wow I actually forgot that it was BL night!! I may have to repent of that one. :blushing: It is a good thing the DVR is set to record all of them. :bigsmile: It has been a busy day. We had a very healthy dinner though, chicken, whole wheat pasta and vegies. Mmmm. I had a dijon mustard sauce going that was a little overpowering, I will have to work on that one, it was good though.
Happy weigh in tomorrow. I hope it is a good one for all of us!

Thank you tttthumper, I needed to hear that this morning. I didn't lose anything this weigh in, not even an ounce. I've been kicking butt at the gym all week. So I was sort of discouraged. I will keep on trucking. I understand there are many factors that play along in weight loss and I shouldn't let it get me down.0 -

Dam I didn't lose any weight this week, Oh well, who cares, I'll have (enter some bad food ) today because "it doesn't matter", or I did something bad last week, so who cares I'll have (enter bad food) today because I want it. It does matter.
I know myself I went through about a month where I maybe lost 1-2 lbs, but I definately lost inches.0 -

So, no change for me today, buddies..... Last Thursday (after the weigh in - of course) I was down 2 lbs. But with my bad weekend it was back up again. I feel like I work out & behave during the week just to misbehave during the weekend. I've really got to refocus & get myself in gear if I'm going to meet my goal!
Step & Tone class this morning, in about an hour! So, I better get movin'!!

Part of my problem is I really need a trip to the grocery store! I am pretty much out of veggies and fruits Green beans, broccoli, carrots, mushrooms, onions, celery, lettuce, cukes, summer squash, zuchinni, brussel sprouts, I eat all of those...0 -
Yea I know what you mean chrissy. Having veggies in the house is half the problem. I did just go to the local store and pick up some bell peppers and banana's. I'm sure I'll be back over the weekend to stock up for more.0

I go to grocery store during the week and pick up some small things, banana's, apples, cottage chese, chicken, whole wheat grain bread.
I might be cheating in one aspect, or making things easier, but for me buying a bag of frozen vegetables (M&M Shop), they have various, I get a california blend. If I have leftover chicken or beef, throw it in my tupperware, reach in and grab a handful of frozen veggies and I'm good.
To me, it's a pain buying the veggies, preparing/cleaning then, then cooking/steaming them.
I like convenience.0 -
OK went to the store....bought summer squash, cabbage, mushrooms, frozen california mix, canned rutabaga, butternut squash, cukes, bagged butter lettuce, also strawberries cantaloupe and bananas
Now time for lunch....
forgot the best part - loaded up the car - got it - it wouldn't start....carried 30 pounds of groceries about 1/2 mile (hill included) to get home - explorer is still sitting at grocery store - guess it's a good thing I live close!0 -
No what I just thought of....I didn't even really get upset over the car - I knew I could walk - no big deal.....before my weight loss journey, I probably would have cried and not even gave a thought to walking home WITH the groceries!!0
