Im so sorry for your most tragic loss. The best way to cope is to allow yourself to grieve...whatever that looks like. (for me it was being very anti-social for about 6 months) It won't be pretty and some people may not understand...but those people don't matter. A new pet never takes anyone's pace, but in time we can always find room in our hearts to love another. And the joy of rescuing and providing a safe home for an animal in a shelter can be very healing. I think you'll know when you're ready.0

im so sorry to hear about your loss. i have found that displaying a large picture of my cat in my house has helped me cope with losing him. once i felt i was ready i got a new kitty0
